They are just a family that feels very disconnected and isolated from each other, they all have their own priorities that in their own minds supersedes everyone else in the family and all of this comes to a head after a Christmas excursion to Griffith Observatory, when during a rare planetary alignment event, while the whole family is bickering how everyone else lives are SO EASY… we end up with a body swap story. Talking Defensive Excellence With Marcus Semien and Jake Meyers

On this episode of the SIS Baseball Podcast, Mark Simon is joined by Rangers second baseman Marcus Semien and Astros center fielder Jake Meyers for a pair of conversations about defensive excellence.

Marcus talks about a couple of memorable plays from the season, the hardest things about playing second base, the level of peak focus a hitter and fielder can have, and how eliminating the shift helped the Rangers right-side defense (0:32).

Jake Meyers walks us through 3 great catches he’s made this season, explaining what went into making each play. He explains the practical value of his pre-game prep and why batting practice is such an important time for him to work on his defense. And he talks about the defensive lessons he learned from his father and from Nebraska baseball coach Darin Erstad (11:13).

SIS VP of Baseball Bobby Scales also joins us for his usual segment, where he reacts to some of the things Jake said in his interview and gives his thoughts on some of the early Defensive Runs Saved leaders (21:35).

Like, rate, and leave a review on Apple Podcasts! (https://apple.co/2Nq9und) Follow Unfit on Instagram (https://bit.ly/3hxTUnD). We’re back at it again with our new friend, Sydney Zeller! Syd is a NASM Certified Personal Trainer, student, entrepreneur, and influencer with a growing audience of over 148K Instagram followers (14:22). As a high school student, Syd fell into fitness as a social activity with her sister (16:31). At the start of 2018 she launched @sydprogress–and things have grown exponentially since then. What we love about Syd is her realistic approach to fitness. It’s okay and common to have aesthetic fitness goals, but it’s also okay to learn, grow, and change them over time. In her transformation posts, Syd often points out how much her mindset has changed from one picture to the next (33:42), and she works hard to integrate this mental shift in her coaching. Syd explains the meaning behind the butterfly symbol she has tattooed on her arm and printed on her merch (46:52), then we plan our post-pandemic trip to visit her in Vancouver. Sam also promises to get a tattoo of the Unfit logo if the pod blows up. All the more reason to Subscribe. 16 Personality Types, Which one are You?

16 Personality Types, Which one are You?

Which personality type are you and what can you do with that knowledge?

Have you heard of the 'Meyer's Briggs' personality test?

According to the 'Meyer's Briggs' personality test, there are 16 possible personality types, which are scored based upon preferences in four areas:

Where you get your energy from: Do you gain energy from being around others or from being alone? On the other hand, do you construct your world based on outer or inner information? This is labeled Extroversion (‘E’) or Introversion (‘I’).

How you perceive information: Do you collect information based on your five senses. Conversely, do you observe patterns and trust your gut? This is labeled Sensing (‘S’) or Intuition (‘N’).

How you make decisions:  When making decisions, do you look at logic and human values? Or, do you go by your own emotions about things? Scientists label this as Thinking (‘T’) or Feeling (‘F’).

How you view the world: In daily life, do you enjoy a more structured existence. On the other hand, are you more of a “go with the flow” type? Researchers label this as Judging (‘J’) or Perceiving (‘P’).

    • Great timing for this book gang, it has such great creepy horror vibes!
    • What was your collaboration like working on Tales from the Dark Multiverse?
    • There are a few great ideas at work here making the story feel layered, was there a starting point where you worked backwards or forward from?
    • Was there a reason this needed to be the first story in the Tales from the Dark Multiverse line?
    • Do you ever find yourself thinking up Elseworlds tales you could never tell in main continuity and save them for later?
    • This book has a strong horror vibe. The body horror with Bruce Wayne, for instance, is intense. Do you feel horror elements like body horror, and nihilism, are
    • Is there anything freeing about telling a one-shot story not necessarily connected to continuity? Follow up, is there anything harder about this format?
    • This isn't your first foray writing Batman, of course, and I'm curious, when you've been able to write the character over so many years do you ever look back and think about which of your stories will last and linger with fans?
