Brett is joined by Marshall High School head coach Travis Carroll. Travis talk about his experience as a grad assistant at Southwest Minnesota State University, coaching in a college town, and helping his players deal with the adversity of losing the 2016 section final. Then Travis talks about the culture of Marshall High School, the Tiger youth basketball association, and the offensive and defensive expectations of his youth teams. Finally Travis goes into detail about their spread ball screen offense and their man-to-man defensive principles.

Brett is joined by Pine City head coach Kyle Allen. Kyle talks about their unique offensive style of play and the coverage they received by the Wall Street Journal. Pine City shoots upwards of 50 to 60 threes a game and Kyle talks about their offensive philosophy and how he teaches his athletes how to focus on shooting threes or layups. Then Kyle talks about the success and challenges that he has faced installing a nontraditional style of play. Finally Kyle explains the roles on his team and how he makes scouting a team building activity.

Brett is joined by Leah Dasovich who is the head girl's basketball coach at Minnetonka High School. Leah talked about the 2016 state championship team, coaching her daughter, and relationship building with her team. Then Leah goes into detail on practice planning, motion offense, and mixing man and zone defenses.

Brett is joined by Lakeville North head coach and member of the 600 wins club John Oxton. John talks about winning his 600th game, taking a two year break to watch his daughter play basketball, and the 2014 state championship team. Then John talks about the culture at Lakeville North, collaborating with the football coaches, how he approaches the start of each season, and his offensive and defensive philosophy.

Brett begins the episode with a public service announcement about wearing a mask to encourage coaches to do their part to increase the likelihood that there's a season this winter. Then he's joined by former Big Lake High School head coach and current Tri City United head coach Kyle Johnson. Kyle talks about going from a successful head coach to a role as an assistant, his plan as he takes over a new program, and offensive and defensive philosophy.

Brett is joined by Totino-Grace head coach and co-owner of Prep Hoops Nick Carroll. Nick talked about skill development, offensive principles, and creating a culture of accountability in his program. Then (21:00) Nick talked about Prep Hoops and the recruiting process, transferable skills from high school to college, and how high school basketball coaches can prepare their student-athletes for the next level.

Bryan Schnettler of Wayzata High School talks with Brett about youth and summer programming, practice structure, offensive and defensive principles of the Wayzata Trojan basketball program, and how he connects with his players.
