"कोयंबटूर कार विस्फोट मामले में तमिलनाडु पुलिस ने मंगलवार को गिरफ्तार किए गए पांच आरोपियों के खिलाफ कड़े आतंकवाद विरोधी कानून गैरकानूनी गतिविधियां (रोकथाम) अधिनियम (यूएपीए) की धाराएं लगाईं। पकड़े गए पांच आरोपियों की पहचान मोहम्मद दलगा, मोहम्मद अजहरुद्दीन, मोहम्मद रियास, फिरोज इस्माइल और मोहम्मद अनस इस्माइल के रूप में हुई है, जिन्हें अब 15 दिन की न्यायिक हिरासत में भेज दिया गया है। उनकी गिरफ्तारी विस्फोट में मारे गए आरोपी जमीजा मुबीन के आवास से 50 किलोग्राम से अधिक विस्फोटक जब्त किए जाने के बाद की गई। विशेष रूप से, पुलिस कार्रवाई तमिलनाडु भाजपा प्रमुख के अन्नामलाई के दावा किए जाने के बाद हुई कि यह घटना एक 'आतंकवादी हमला' है न कि केवल 'सिलेंडर विस्फोट'। रिपब्लिक टीवी से विशेष रूप से बात करते हुए, तमिलनाडु के भाजपा नेता नारायणन थिरुपति ने अन्नामलाई के दावे को दोहराया और राष्ट्रीय जांच एजेंसी (एनआईए) को इस मामले को अपने हाथ में लेने की मांग की है। 

मद्रास हाईकोर्ट ने मैरिज सर्टिफिकेट को लेकर एक विशेष टिप्पणी की. हाईकोर्ट ने कहा कि बगैर विवाह समारोह के शादी का रजिस्ट्रेशन अमान्य होगा और मैरिज सर्टिफिकेट फेक माना जाएगा. हाईकोर्ट ने कहा कि शादी का पंजीकरण करने वाले अधिकारी का यह कर्तव्य है कि वह रजिस्ट्रेशन करने से पहले इस बात की जांच करे कि वास्तव में शादी हुई है या नहीं.

" VK Sasikala, on Tuesday, reacted to the Arumughaswamy Commission’s report that cast suspicion on her and three others regarding former CM Jayalalithaa’s death, and said that she was ready to face any inquiry and that she had never interfered with Jayalalithaa’s medical treatment. The Arumughaswamy Commission’s report was tabled in the Tamil Nadu assembly on Tuesday. In its concluding statements, the report cast suspicion on former health minister Vijayabaskar, VK Sasikala and two other officials and said that the fault “must lie with them.” The panel further recommended launching an investigation into the suspects. Recalling her history with Jayalalithaa, VK Sasikala said, “I’ve been staying with Amma for nearly 30 years, protecting her like a mother. I never intervened in her treatment. All I wanted was for her to get the best treatment. I never stopped Amma from being taken abroad for treatment.” 

India struck down the Age old section 377 few years back, but as far as the LGBTQIA+ community is concerned, the reforms and acceptance is still a long process. This change in the way society looks at the community will not be overnight. But we can take baby steps towards it and that too counts. Tamil Nadu govt has shown the way to the country in this regard. Perhaps for the tfirst time ever in the country.

In a gruesome incident of Honour killing, B Nagaraju a young dalit man was beaten to death by the relative of his wife for marrying a muslim. B Nagaraju, 25, and his wife Ashrin Sultana, 23, were on a motorcycle when around 8.45 pm, they were waylaid near Mandal Revenue Office at Saroornagar in Hyderabad by two people, allegedly her relatives, who attacked them with an iron rod. As the couple fell to the ground, the attackers took out a knife and stabbed Nagaraju multiple times, leading to his death. His wife Ashrin, who was rushed to a hospital by passersby, is reportedly stable. CCTV footage released by police shows Ashrin fighting off the attackers. She told police that she recognised her elder brother who stabbed Nagaraju and that even though she shouted for help, no one came to their rescue. 

One of India's greatest music composers Ilaiyaraaja has found himself in a middle of a controversy, as he is been slammed for just praising Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his contribution to India in his book 'Ambedkar & Modi'. He did not shield himself from an online backlash. The criticism in social media since Saturday against Ilayaraja could be summed up as ideological, which claims that Modi cannot be compared to Ambedkar as the former is committed to Hindutva while the latter is a reformist leader who dedicated his entire life to the upliftment of the oppressed people.
