    Staying the Course ...with Surrender.

    Staying the Course ...with Surrender.
    Exciting News!
Thank you for letting your voice be heard! We love knowing that you still have a desire to keep our weekly radio show going... and we are happy to announce that we have found a way! After 7 years, This Little Parent Stayed Home is heading back to a studio where we'll be able to continue bringing you quality content, progressive conversations and support in Parenting, Business and Self-Development... and... we'll once again be able to take callers! (more details at a later time...)

Unless you LET GO, you won't be able to MOVE FORWARD.
Possibly one of the greatest lessons I have learned during this demanding, mystifying and enlightening year is the power of SURRENDER. After thrashing about in a pool of struggle and becoming VERY CLOSE to drowning in my own insignificant efforts, the ultimate solution was revealed when I chose to forfeit my energy to the flow of the current.

It wasn't long after I let go that the rewards began to surface. Dare I say... I've been almost OVERWHELMED with the flow of abundance that has permeated my present experience. Business victories, speaking engagements, the resurrection of this radio broadcast, television shows, teaching opportunities... the list of wins lately goes on and on.

Do something today that your future will thank you for.
There is nothing wrong with having an intense desire for something that you don't have... but obsessing about the outcome can create impenetrable resistance. While it may feel as if you are already exerting your greatest effort, the greatest challenge is to be able to GENUINELY SURRENDER, release all outcomes and trust that the Universe has your back.

    On Today's Show...
Possibly one of the greatest rewards of my surrender this year was the arrival of a new and significant friendship. My soul absolutely became aligned when I met my television co-host of Wake Up, Michelle Rivera. Within just an hour of our first encounter, it felt as if she was a missing piece of my puzzle. Michelle will be joining me in my home studio today!

    Empower Yourself, Empower the World

    Empower Yourself, Empower the World
Moms are great with scheduling in time for everyone else. How about a little "YOU" time? Worried it might take away from the time you've scheduled to save the world? You are not alone. As moms we are often driven to pursue definitions of what a good mother looks like to the point that we completely lose ourselves in the process. I am inviting Patty Lennon back to the show this week because she is a lot like you. She is a mom who thrives on making an impact on the world, connecting with other women, and giving herself the life she's always wanted. Patty will be joining us this Friday to talk to us about creating a virtual home for Moms like you who are ready to move up on the priority list - by designing a life that honors you as an individual. READ MORE ABOUT PATTY LENNON HERE--> If you are ready to fall as deeply in love with your life as you are with your children, this is the show for you! In addition, Patty will be sharing with us some great knowledge about Micro-Lending through Kiva.org and how to give back to the world, simply by empowering yourself. Two Birds, one stone.

    The 100th Show Reunion Episode

    The 100th Show Reunion Episode
I love a good celebration. A pat on the back for a job well done is all I need to keep going on most days. Even through the most challenging times, I always know that my week shows will lift my spirits and bring me the clarity that I need to do my job to the best of my ability. Broadcasting to you is always the highlight of my week. Together we have set up a space filled with strength, compassion and unlimited possibilities. You are my rock. This episode we will celebrate 100 episodes of This Little Parent Stayed Home together. We've come a long way baby! The best way to celebrate it is to look back, reflect on our journey and get ready for 100 more. Want to know what I have planned for this week? Not a darn thing. I've been told by my darling producer, Kelly St. Clair, that I need to sit back, relax, and trust that the show will just "be there" for me as I have for everyone else. What fun! I am looking forward to being pleasantly surprised! It's going to be an EXCELLENT week!

Say Goodbye to your Inner Good Girl

Say Goodbye to your Inner Good Girl
What is the Good Girl? The “Good Girl” is an archetype that has different forms—the judge, the critic, the perfectionist, the people-pleaser to name a few. But no matter the form, the basis of the Good Girl has to do with feeling limited by society’s rules of what a woman should be. It has to do with playing small and feeling stuck in a prison of other people’s ideas. It has to do with feeling like we have to live up to the idea of being “good.” Many times the “good” part of us judges the “badass” part of us and we miss out on the truth of what it means to be a whole woman. Many women seem to come up against this archetype as we begin to explore our true selves and our real desires, or as we up-level our business and personal lives, or as we step into a bigger game that calls for us to be seen and heard. The Good Girl Gremlin seems to come up just as women are about to expand and grow… just as we are about to rock the center stage of our own life. What are some “Good Girl” symptoms? You may spend energy in guilt and shame You may play small and hide out You may have trouble speaking your truth or being seen You may feel distanced from your desires You may feel limited, judged, and boxed in by yours and other’s expectations Your mantra may be “I’m not ready” or I’m not good enough (to be seen, to create your desires, to take action on your truth) You may feel bad about wanting more (more abundance, more passion, more purpose) and yet at the same time, you know there is more for you This week, I am inviting my friends, Christina Dunbar and Regena Garrepy to join us on the show! These women founded the Bye Bye Good Girl Movement and are now healthy, whole, and yes–badass women! I can't wait for them to show you how to claim all of this for yourself so that you live from a place of authenticity, truth and power.

    Professional Moms (and Poopy Diapers?!)

    Professional Moms (and Poopy Diapers?!)
Thanksgiving is a great time for reflection. It's been said that living in gratitude is the best way to abundance. So, just for the sake of argument, if we were to give thanks for our family, our friends, the roof over our heads, the food we eat and our good health....would the laws of the universe give us more of the good stuff? If only it were that easy! Thinking positively is really only a small component of being able to manifest and create an abundant outcome. For me, it's the deep reflection of what I've already accomplished that transports me into the most potent mindset for manifesting. So much of what I am grateful for began 5...10...even 15 years ago. “You can’t connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards. So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future....” - Steve Jobs Fifteen years ago I arrived in Los Angeles, bright and starry eyed. With my college degree in musical theatre in one hand and a pile of headshots and resumes in the other, I was ready and determined to become the hottest star that Hollywood had ever seen. Young, hot and single, I came to the Tinseltown along with millions of others who all looked every bit as hot as me and had the same dream. I was now in the most competitive industry in the world and although I had the chops to perform circles around the others, I learned quickly that getting hired was more about strategy and less about song and dance. Many actors learned this the hard way. They quickly saw the steep competition before them and the near impossibility of getting their talent discovered by the right people. So they quit. At 24 years old, I landed a job working at a company called Act Now! where I became a consultant for the seasoned actor in Hollywood. I spent my days auditioning actors for our pre-screened workshops, coached them how to nail the "cold reading" audition every time, and taught them how to build relationships with top-notch casting directors, agents and managers. My former boss and first business mentor, Kenna Dean, taught me my first lessons in the importance of business integrity, reverse sales strategy, and choosing our clients appropriately. Kenna was also the first "Mom-prenuer" I'd ever known, building a lucrative business model that served the most competitive industry on the planet and still managing to put her family first without apology. Join me tomorrow when I interview Kenna Dean about how she became a successful business leader and a liason between actors and entertainment professionals... all while changing diapers and rocking her baby.
