Και ο μήνας συνεργασιών συνεχίζεται εδώ στο Terror 404! Σήμερα έχουμε μαζί μας τα "ποντκαστικά" μας αδερφάκια που φυσικά δεν είναι άλλοι από τον Γιώρο και τη Μαρία a.k.a. Crime Groupers! Τα αγαπημένα μας ντεντεκτιβάκια, όχι μόνο ήρθαν καλεσμένοι για πρώτη φορά, αλλά μας έφεραν και πεσκέσι ΥΠΟΘΕΣΑΡΑ βεληνεκούς Terror's Hall Of Fame και δεν μας λυπήθηκαν καθόλου (ειδικά τη Lady Triggerou)!

Η Μαρία και ο Γιώργος, μας παίρνουν σήμερα μαζί τους (χωρίς να μας ρωτήσουν αν θέλουμε) στην υπόθεση των Ian Brady και Myra Hindley. Η υπόθεση του διαβολικού αυτού ζεύγους από την Αγγλία έχει μείνει γνωστή στην ιστορία ως The Moor Murders, κι αυτό γιατί τα θύματα του ασυνήθιστου ντουέτου, μοιραία κατέληξαν σε ρηχούς τάφους, στους άγονους χερσότοπους γύρω από το Manchester όπου το μόνο που φυτρώνει εκεί είναι αγριολούλουδα και χαμηλοί, ξυλώδεις θάμνοι.

Ο Brady και η Hindley, απελευθερώνοντας τις σκοτεινές τους φαντασιώσεις, παρέσυραν πέντε αθώα παιδιά, ηλικίας 10 έως και 17 ετών, στον μαρτυρικό τους θάνατο, αφού πρώτα κακοποίησαν και σεξουαλικά, τουλάχιστον τα τέσσερα από αυτά. Το ζευγάρι σχεδίαζε σχολαστικά τις δολοφονίες τους, με το σαδιστικό μυαλό του Brady να οδηγεί το όλο εγχείρημα, ενώ η Hindley έπαιζε το ρόλο της πρόθυμης συνεργού.

Με τα χρόνια, η υπόθεση των Moors Murders συνέχισε να αιχμαλωτίζει την νοσηρή περιέργεια του κοινού. Το σατανικό δίδυμο έγινε συνώνυμο του απόλυτου κακού, και τα ονόματά τους έμειναν για πάντα χαραγμένα στα χρονικά της ιστορίας του true crime. Παρά τις πολυάριθμες εφέσεις και το πέρασμα του χρόνου, ο Brady και η Hindley παρέμειναν πίσω από τα σίδερα της φυλακής μέχρι τον θάνατό τους, με την κληρονομιά τους να είναι μια έντονη υπενθύμιση της ικανότητας της ανθρωπότητας για ασύλληπτο σκοτάδι.

This week Farz goes back across the pond to tell the story of the murderous pairing of Ian Brady and Myra Hindley. These two attacked and killed children across Manchester and buried them in the moors (which is British for super big field). A Neo-Nazi found his match in a girl who would do anything for him, takes one to know one.  This is the story of the Moors Murders. 

Then, Taylor tells the truly American tale of Lizzie Borden and her axe (maybe!?! We don’t know that she did it for sure and we will never know!). On a Tuesday morning on a busy street Andrew and Abby Borden were brutally murdered with an axe before noon! Could it have been their daughter?

Everybody together!

It’s Boxing Day, 1964, when a 26-year-old man named Ian Brady, and a 22-year-old woman named Myra Hindley, attend a fair in Ancoats, an area in Manchester, North West England. 

The pair had met three years prior when Myra had developed an infatuation with Ian. Finally, Ian showed interest and asked her to the movies. They have been inseparable ever since, although their relationship is anything but conventional. 

While at the fair, the couple notice that a ten-year-old named Lesley Ann Downey appears to be alone. In an instant, she becomes their next target. 

The young couple approach her, purposefully dropping the shopping they’re carrying. Ian and Myra know that the presence of a woman means a child is more likely to trust them. This is part of their strategy. 

And so, they ask Lesley if she wouldn’t mind helping them carry their packages to their car, and then on to their home on Wardle Brook Avenue. 

When they arrive, Lesley Ann Downey is raped and then murdered. 

She is not Ian and Myra’s first victim. And she will not be their last. 

The following morning, as Lesley Ann’s family frantically search for their missing daughter, the pair bury her in a shallow grave at Saddleworth Moor, a wide open expanse of hills and uncultivated land. Her clothes are buried by her feet. 

The crimes committed by Myra Hindley and Ian Brady would come to be known as the Moors murder, a series of killings that targeted children, four of whom were sexually assaulted. 

Myra Hindley has long been branded the “most evil woman in Britain” - the exception to everything we think we know about female killers.
