Unlocking Effective Communication Between Teens and Parents

It’s so important for parents to have effective communication with their teenagers and using the Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) can help. Kate and guest Jeanine Mouchawar discuss how understanding your own and your teen's personality type can improve communication and reduce conflict. Jeanine shares a five-step process for effective communication: calming oneself before a conversation, stating observations without judgement, getting curious about the teen's feelings, validating their feelings, and asking for their ideas to make better choices.

    Unlocking the Parent-Child Personality Puzzle

    Unlocking the Parent-Child Personality Puzzle

It’s a common concern for parents feeling like their child doesn’t fit in or is just too different. There could be a problem. But when we dig deeper into that idea the disconnect is often more about a clash of personalities between the child and the parents, rather than an inherent issue.

In this episode, Kate, a skilled personality coach, sheds light into understanding and bridging the gap between parents and their unique children.
