E, sad zamislite da iz dana u dan čekate da vam se dijete probudi iz kome.

Danas u Oslobođenojo strpljenju, vjeri, majčinstvu kao religiji, o snazi jedne žene da svaki dan iznova čeka i vjeruje u to da će njen sin ponovo s njom na kafu. I hoće, to znamo i mi. Naša današnja gošća je Svjetlana Bednaš, Sergejeva majka, majka koja već devet mjeseci čeka da joj se sin probudi nakon strašne nesreće koju je imao. Njih dvoje odrastali su usmjereni jedno na drugo. Sergej je odrastao u snažnog, pravednog, vrijednog dječaka, koji je, samo mjesec dana prije nesreće, dobio posao u Lanaco kompaniji.

A onda je jedno druženje sa drugarima značilo i koju čašicu više. Manjak samokontrole, airbag koji se nije upalio, udarac na mjesto koje je Sergeja poslalo u komu. Iz koje se ne budi evo već skoro 10 mjeseci.

Kako je došlo do ove nemile situacije, kako izgledaju dani majke koja čeka, kakve su prognoze, ima li podršku psihologa, koji slučaj iz okruženja je probudio nadu u njoj i šta je sve uradila dok čeka. I en alder af 64 startede, tidligere kommunalt ansatte sundhedsmedarbejder, Lena Hvid, som selvstændig zoneterapeut. Klinikken er nu lige rundet 1 år, og udover at tilbyde en række ydelser såsom NADA og clairvoyance, danner klinikken også rammen om en række holistiske foredrag og workshops. Lenas oprindelige interesse for sundhed kom dog af nødvendighed. Hun beretter om, hvordan hendes datters sygdom og senere hendes egen sygdom, ændrede hendes kurs i livet. Selvom hun oprindelig blev uddannet ingeniør, har hun arbejdet inden for sundhedssektoren det meste af sit liv. Hvorfor Lena først valgte at starte som selvstændig i den såkaldte 3. alder, hvordan clairvoyance og afdødekontakt altid har fulgt hende, og hvordan hun formåede at gå igennem en længere kriseperiode samt bruge sine erfaringer i et succesfuldt virke, kan du høre mere om i denne personlige fortælling.

October is upon us! With scary movie season under way we're returning to our "Communicating Fears in Film" theme all month long. To kick off our specialty programming this spooky season, host Garret Castleberry is joined by Scott McMurry to dissect a pair of science fiction horror films that strike at fears relating to identity and duplicity. In the spirit of last year's "The Thing from Another World/The Thing" double-feature, Special Topics  revels in dualisms featuring the work of director John Carpenter. Garret and Scott first introduce Carpenter's cult film They Live (1988) before winding back the "Invasion movie" clock to assess the film's relationship to Don Siegel's 1956 classic, Invasion of the Body Snatchers. The dialogic duo resurrect their "Communicating Fears in Film" methodology, including presence versus absence, imitation versus innovation, and the centrality of understanding cultural context, before introducing their newest layer of analytic discourse, filmic echoes.
