I BE BALLIN Basketball show's theme song. This song is the introduction to what the I BE BALLIN channel is all about. It's here to bring you basketball discussions and debates.

I'm Ashley Hewing, the host of the I BE BALLIN BASKETBALL SHOW! I started this show because I love talking about and watching basketball with others. I am shy but if I'm talking about basketball I open up a lot. I started playing basketball and writing rhymes since elementary school.

The Money Show | Current market landscape

This week on 702’s The Money Show, Portfolio Manager Meryl Pick discussed critical market insights, exploring the ambitious claims of Noel Quinn, CEO of HSBC, about the China property crisis, and the challenges faced by MTN in Nigeria's volatile market. Additionally, Meryl shared her cautious stance on Pick and Pay, emphasising the complexities of market turnarounds and the need for a watchful eye in this competitive landscape.

The Sage Sayers: Meet Dotun Ayeni, our Sound Engineer. Tips on Reinvention, Interviews, and Resilience.

My guest this week is one familiar to me and one I’m excited to introduce to you. His name is Dotun Ayeni. He’s an animal scientist by profession, a sound engineer by passion and works as a business development manager in an Australian lift Manufacturing company in Nigeria, his motherland. Dotun’s also my sound engineer.

I’ve brought Dotun to my show this week because he’s an expert on the spoken word and he’s also part of a larger trend of holding two jobs (or several jobs) vs. one. Like many of my listeners, Dotun’s reinvented himself when and as needed. His sound engineering work came to him when well-paid work as an animal scientist did not.

If you'd like to work with Dotun (and I recommend that you do), find him on Fiverr under Titan32. And here's the first episode he ever edited for me, one of my favorites.

Connect with me, Coach Debbi McCullough, about your group's communication challenges via my LinkedIn profile and website. I'm taking bookings for coaching and training workshops to help build confidence, courage, and clarity in our written and spoken word. I'm all about us becoming braver communicators.

    61. 'Left At The Altar' - The story of a jilted lover

    Dramatic!
What on earth are Damini and Rocky talking about on the episode? Not football, surely? Not Mbappe?!
On this two part episode we tell the story of the #ProjectMbappe saga, in the most relatable way we can and much more!

Part1: The music and life episode

We start the episode catching up on life. Interesting theory: 'The moment we figure it out, we die.' We then recap Blood Sisters. (09:45) which transitions us into the conversation on the Nigerian hip hop scene that was trending on twitter. Something about ... "Who is DnD?". Shoutout to all the young Nigerian creatives doing their thing. (30:10) This brings us into touching on some themes from the Kendrick Album, we recap the topic of sex and the weird ways it can be perceived, Oedipus complex, and the Kodak co-sign: Product of environment? Doesn't matter! (59:10)

    Part2: The story of Mbappe

Damini attempts to break down the enormity of the Mbappe transfer saga from the POV of a Madrid fan eating sour grapes. Is it a tale of entitlement and being too desperate? In the words of Drake, "You said I led you on, but you followed me." We detail the feelings and magnitude of the apparent betrayal. (01:19:50) We tell the story of the Florentino Perez, the ultimate closer; the man that stole Figo from the Camp Nou, being sold a Trojan horse. The devil himself was played by Mbappe of Bondy. A tale for the ages, the biggest transfer saga in football history since arguably Figo, maybe Di Stefano, and so the story continues for the forbidden affair.
