    Sorcerer (1977)

    Sorcerer (1977)

45 years ago when this first came out, you would have through it might be considered a pretty big event as a big budget follow-up from the recent director (William Friedkin) of The Exorcist and The French Connection….and playing its lead, the star (Roy Scheider) of Jaws. :o As it turns out, it was a VERY troubled production being released by a studio which had no idea how to market it so they didn’t even try.

It was considered a flop upon release but in the decades since then, there has been a growing appreciation for this high tension adventure thriller focusing on four strangers who are tasked with driving six cases of highly unstable nitroglycerin more than 200 miles through very treacherous conditions – it’s a harrowing story expertly told and no, there are NO sorcerers nor any magic involved. 😉

The Hoosac Tunnel of North Adams, Massachusetts

The Hoosac Tunnel of North Adams, Massachusetts

Before it's construction began in 1851, The Hoosac Tunnel was nicknamed "The Great Bore" by it's critics but by the time construction had completed in 1873, the workers and locals had a different nickname for it; "The Bloody Pit."

On today's episode we explore the stories of death and the ghosts that supposedly haunt the  Hoosac Tunnel.

The GGGG Happy Meal: No Food, Just Toys, or, What I Did Over My Winter Break

The GGGG Happy Meal: No Food, Just Toys, or, What I Did Over My Winter Break

Ahhhh the end of the holidays! When we can all finally relax with all that gift giving and celebrating and just settle into our seasonal depression like a wet, warm blanket. Speaking of wet blankets, Zach, Andrew, and Kev are back at last from winter break and we played SO MANY THINGS. At least two! We're gonna talk about all those, along with gripping topics like retirement homes, food poisoning, tax audits, and we're gonna answer the question that will define 2020 for everyone we think: what's the difference between food and drug? You're welcome, world. With that out of the way, we can probably just move on to 2021 now, I'm tired of this year, thanks.
