16 - The One Year Anniversary of PUNK Therapy

16 - The One Year Anniversary of PUNK Therapy

Dr. T and the Truth Fairy celebrate their one year podcast anniversary! A return to their original format of just them in an enlightening conversation marks the occasion. In an open and heartfelt discussion, they share new discoveries about medicine use in their personal and professional journeys.

Truth Fairy tells of her recent ayahuasca medicine sessions with a shaman friend and how she pushed through a difficult year and deep-set trauma revelations. She arrived at a very beautiful place of realization for herself. Dr. T dives into more detail about what his PhD studies are focused on and the insights he is gaining from the studies.

This episode is a wonderful example of the bond between Dr. T and Truth Fairy and the intimate conversations they share with their listeners. They reveal personal moments, discuss new understandings of medicine, unpack therapy in general as well as their own therapeutic approaches to healing, and even reveal some of the exciting guests who will join the show in future episodes.

“That idea that allowing thoughts to come in, allowing them to simply be there and not try to push them away or pretend they're not there or pretend that the fear isn't there, but to invite it in and invite it closer and get curious about its energy, you know?” -  Truth Fairy

“Yeah. To be a witness to the transference without kind of getting totally caught up in the enactment and without rejecting what's happening and just getting curious with yourself like, wow. Oh, wow. Okay. I'm feeling a bit of resentment here, a bit of anger or something.” - Dr. T

Episode 125-First Anniversary of the January 6th Breach on the Capitol

Episode 125-First Anniversary of the January 6th Breach on the Capitol

In this episode of the National Crawford Roundtable Podcast the guys discuss the media's hyper-obsession with the "one year anniversary" of the January 6th breach on the Capitol.  As wrong as it was, does it really deserve a "date that will live in infamy" type magnitude? Is President Biden right to call it the "greatest threat on our democracy since the Civil War"?  What about the dozens being held one year later without bail, compared to the BLM rioters, most of whom were released with low to no bail, and have had the charges against them dropped?  What perspective should Christians have regarding the events of January 6th?

BACKGROUND ABOUT THE PODCAST LDS AND MEDIUM:

I was born into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, or LDS for short. All my life I felt awkward and out of place, not because of my religion, but because of my spiritual gifts. It was hard to combine the idea of what first seemed like two separate worlds. So my whole life I have tried. I have learnt more about my gifts, and stayed faithful to my faith. But then I heard people left the church because it seems impossible to combine the two. So I am here, to try and mend the rift. To show that it is possible to be both LDS and to have, and use, our spiritual gifts. I am not alone on this journey, but my sister, who just is waking up to her spiritual gifts is by my side and she will also share her story.

If you like what I do, then you can find me here: https://linktr.ee/ldsandmedium

If you have words of support or stories that you anonymously want me to share please write me at ldsandmedium@gmail.com. I will try and answer all your emails BUT I am very busy with my life and I hope you can have some patience with me.

I will try to always end my monthly Podcast with a meditational prayer. If you would like access to it as an mp3 you can support me on Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/ldsandmedium or send a Donation through Paypal. It will also be available on https://payhip.com/LDSandMedium

    What is Kind Leadership?

    What is Kind Leadership?
We've spent the past year answering this question, piece by piece. We've discussed key behavior traits and met with people we believe embody the KL spirit. For our one year anniversary episode (I know, right?!), we found a topic that connects with the core belief of Kind Leadership-"Tough Compassion." How can we have a backbone and stick up for ourselves while allowing those with powerful, contradictory beliefs the space to express themselves? If you truly want diversity, you had better be able to answer that question. If you want new opinions, you need to be flexible (at the right time). You also need to know when to end the debate and move forward. Lastly, thank you for giving us this past year to explore. We hope you've learned someith (we sure have). In this episode, we also discuss our favorite episodes and "ah-ha" moments. Feel free to comment on our LinkedIn post with your thoughts.

Finding Glory in the Mystery (ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY EPISODE)

Finding Glory in the Mystery (ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY EPISODE)

We’re celebrating one year of the Voices of Disruption podcast on this week’s episode as well as the return of the podcast. After a much-needed break between the transition of summer to the new school year, the stories that need to be heard are coming in HOT from this space of vulnerability, empathy, and rejuvenation.

One year ago, I sat in my freshman dorm room and hit record on a software I was unfamiliar with using. This week’s episode was recorded in my sophomore dorm room with completely different world conditions than when that first episode went live. Sharing stories is such a huge part of my identity now, in the moments when I’m uploading regularly, being present with the people I love, and trying to understand the world around me. Thank you so much for being a member of this community. I really love and appreciate every single one of you.  Thanks again for listening and disrupting and sharing and growing with me!

In this episode of the VODPOD, I talk about what the past four months (June-September 2021) have been like, living with my close friends, moving from Boston to Philadelphia, navigating college life, and updates on my personal growth journey. I also share how shifts in my mental wellness have shaped my relationship with creativity and how I’ve dealt with some recent challenges in my life. I dive into the sacred practice of allowing others to show up for you and inviting softness into every area of connection. As someone who is often seen as a source of inspiration, I talk about the limitations behind the dimensions of our personhood online. The value of being present, speaking truths out loud, and discovering the new are all unraveled in this episode! Two months ago, I wrote the phrase “glory in the mystery” in a journaling session and this week I finally explored what this term means to me. I look at how this statement and affirmation to search for casual magic in the midst of madness has helped me through the constant change in my life, from changing my major to redefining what it means to be challenged as a student.

The VODPOD is all about centering voices and stories of Generation Z authentically. As voices of disruption, we recognize that vulnerability is a strength, not a weakness, and embrace storytelling in a  way that sparks thought, inspiration, action, and conversation. Every time that you disrupt, you step into a power that allows you to create, uplift, and empower yourself and others.

LIVE DISRUPTED: Questions to ask yourself after listening to this episode:

    • What are things that I can celebrate in my life? (even the things that seem small)
    • What does “finding glory in the mystery” mean to me in this season of my life?
    • Who can I check in on today? How’s my well? What can I do to fill my well so I can check in on someone else?

You can follow my instagram @deb_olatunji, the podcast page,  and the website to stay updated and uplifted! Be sure to leave a rating and write a review so that we can continue to share the stories of how fellow disruptors are being connected and empowered all over the world. Let’s disrupt together now!

    Round 48 - Our 1 year anniversary!

    Round 48 - Our 1 year anniversary!

This week the girls are taking aim at... Our little podcasts 1st birthday

Tonight we are not following our usual format. Amy kicked things off by discussing how our little podcast started then we talked about the path to this point one year after we commenced.

The girls then each took turns asking their co-hosts some questions about what they have learned from podcasting and what advice they would give to anyone out there brave (or stupid) enough to give it a go.

We would like to thank everyone who has helped us and supported us throughout our journey. We would not be here today without your love and support!

    S1EP52 I Choose Love

    S1EP52 I Choose Love

Today I celebrate my one year anniversary of doing this podcast!

I thought it would be a good time to share, as openly and honestly as possible, a time where I wasn't as graceful or loving - I let my frustrations and anger run the show. If I would have remembered "What Would Love Do?" that day may have turned out very differently for both myself and those around me.

Whether you are a long-time listener or brand new, I thank you for tuning in and Happy International Women's Day!

    Sending you so much love!

P.S. I've shared a lot about what has happened to my family and I over the past year, the lessons learned and the practices that helped through it all - so today, why not go back over some of those podcasts that you may have missed?

From Where We Are Special Broadcast: Woolsey Fire Anniversary (November 12, 2019)

From Where We Are Special Broadcast: Woolsey Fire Anniversary (November 12, 2019)
On today’s special broadcast, we cover the anniversary of the Woolsey fire through Malibu community stories, and discuss how their experiences relate to the overall threat of California wildfires. From a man who stayed to save his house to a woman who coordinated the evacuation of an entire ranch, we follow the way that Woolsey has impacted — and continues to impact — the lives of those in Malibu. You’ll hear from camp JCA Shalom as they restore their camp, learn about fire insurance issues around the community, and follow a personal account from host and producer ZaZu Lippert. All that and more…FROM WHERE WE ARE.
