Flesh, You're Not The Boss Of Me

Flesh, You're Not The Boss Of Me

This Sunday Pastor Ron focused on overcoming the struggles of the flesh and living a life empowered by the Spirit. He emphasized that, regardless of past struggles or how one arrived at their current state, it's possible to live a victorious life in Christ.

This service marked the beginning of a Daniel fast, encouraging participants to rely on God's strength during this period. The fast represents a spiritual journey, aiming to grow closer to God by resisting the temptations of the flesh.

Key scriptures from Romans 8:3-4 and Genesis 1:26-27 were explored, highlighting that while the law was powerless due to human weakness, Jesus Christ overcame sin in the flesh, enabling believers to live righteously.

Pastor Ron also discussed the human struggle with sin, referencing Adam and Eve's fall in Genesis 3 and the pervasive wickedness in Genesis 6:5. He stressed that Jesus, having become flesh, demonstrated victory over sin, providing a model for believers to overcome their own struggles.

The sermon concluded with a call to resist the 'bully' of the flesh, reminding congregants that through Christ's strength, they can overcome temptations and grow spiritually, financially, relationally, and personally throughout the year.

Tafsir of Matthew 4:1-11 - Hazoor al-Maseeh's defeat of Iblis

Tafsir of Matthew 4:1-11 - Hazoor al-Maseeh's defeat of Iblis

Today's episode is about how Hazoor al-Maseeh defeated Iblis before He began His public ministry. This story is told in Matthew 4:1-11.

"Then Hazoor Isa (AM) was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by Iblis. After he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was hungry. Then the tempter approached him and said, “If you are ibn-e-Allah, tell these stones to become bread.” He answered, “It is written: Man must not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.”` Then Iblis took him to the holy city, had him stand on the pinnacle of the temple, and said to him, “If you are Ibn-e-Allah, throw yourself down. For it is written:
He will give his angels orders concerning you,
and they will support you with their hands
so that you will not strike
         your foot against a stone.”

Hazoor Isa (AM) told him, “It is also written: Do not test the Lord your God.”

Again, Iblis took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor. 9 And he said to him, “I will give you all these things if you will fall down and worship me.”

Then Hazoor Isa (AM) told him, “Go away, Shaytan! For it is written: Worship the Lord your God, and serve only him.”

Then Iblis left him, and angels came and began to serve him."

We also see in this passage that Hazoor al-Maseeh gave the greatest fast. He fasted not merely for thirty days but forty. He fasted not only during the days but at night as well. His fast was guided directly by the Holy Spirit. And the result of this fast was that Hazoor al-Maseeh defeated Shaytan.

Come study today about how you can overcome Iblis by following the example of Hazoor al-Maseeh. Come and see the greatness of Hazoor al-Maseeh!

    Powerful Christianity

    Powerful Christianity

    From radical to powerful

Unusual and counter traditions, especially contrary to status quo when the status quo is sinful.  Radically pure and upright.  Leading young people to the Lord and getting them free of drugs, obedient to parents good in school, and having the local churches against us, parents against us, and evangelical churches unwilling to even pray with us. Fear after 9/11 and my stand to continue to work for the Lord and left on a flight to Turkey soon after.

We miss out on what Paul did on the end of his second journey and the start of his third journey, and the story continues in Ephesus, and will pick up again when Paul reaches Ephesus.  This is quite an amazing story where we first encounter Apollos. He is from Egypt, a Jew, learned and eloquent, instructed (a Disciple), teaches accurately about Jesus, and is bold!  He only knows the baptism of John!

A woman and her husband set time to discuss this with him…

    1. Correcting an accomplished minister of the Gospel: how do you do that? Using the OT: Joel 2, Zechariah 4:6
    2. Showing the importance of John‘s ministry: Isaiah 40:3
    3. What John taught: Luke 3:16
    4. What Jesus taught: John 16: 13,14
    5. Instructions of Jesus: Acts 1:4,4; 7,8

The difference between repentance and filling with the Spirit of God.

                Our act and God’s action

                Empty and filling

                Our ability, and God’s ability

                Our power, and God’s power

Our insight and God’s wisdom, knowledge, and understanding

We see the outside, God sees the hearts

Our surrender to God includes receiving his power to overcome in our lives.

    Genesis 3 "The Liar" - #48

    Genesis 3 "The Liar" - #48

I am on a journey to find out for myself what GODS word says. Actually read it for myself, to study, and do my best to understand and to live according to what Yehovah instructs me through it. If others want to study along with me, thats great!

I share what I believe to be truths with you from studying I have previously done however, be aware as I continue to study throughout my life, it's possible my understanding of any scripture may change over time because GOD's word is living and powerful. That is why it's as relevant today as it was a thousand years ago and reveals more and more to us as we continue to study it.
We should always be learning, growing, and repositioning ourselves in order to better align our lives and our thinking with that of our Father.

I have no desire to teach you a "religion". How we each choose to respond to what we study is up to us individually.

My goal is to get myself ready for the reality that we all must face one day and that is death and ultimately answering Yehovah for how we lived our life.

The beautiful thing, but also a big responsibility that he gifted to us, is the power to choose. It's our very own. It's called free will. The free will to chose to trust, love and hang out with and learn from him, or to simply disregard and ignore him.

I hope you join me on this journey!

If you haven't listened to Genesis 1 (Episode 46) or Genesis 2 (Episode 47), I suggest you listen to those first then continue to this episode. I believe we need to start at the beginning and follow the Bible through to its completion to truly understand what is being said in context. We also must keep an open mind because when we do, we are going to learn many, many things we didn't know before.
