The Chiropractic Journey to Essential
Masters of Health Magazine just published a very important article that outlines the inspiring 125-year chiropractic journey to Essential. Founded in 1895, the chiropractic industry has been persecuted and slandered from its inception by political medicine.
What was behind the slander? Who was the founding doctor and who were the pioneers that held their ground for the good of their patients and communities?
The story of chiropractic's journey is extremely relevant today, as people try to make sense of the confusion in the healthcare landscape today.
As a practicing chiropractor for 36 years, I am inspired to be able to share this story of principle, perseverance, hope, and leadership with you. Everyone needs to know this story so they can make healthier choices for themselves and their families.
Elder Ronald A. Rasband and Elder S. Mark Palmer on the growing and influential Church in Africa, with guest host Sheri Dew
In May 2022, Elder Ronald A. Rasband of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles visited Africa, an area for which he has administrative oversight for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. “This is just the beginning,” Elder Rasband told Latter-day Saints in a social media post celebrating the member meeting in Mozambique — the largest gathering in the history of the Church in that country. Elder Rasband joins this special 100th episode of the Church News podcast with Elder S. Mark Palmer of the Presidency of the Seventy to talk about the Church in Africa. Sister Sheri Dew, executive vice president of Deseret Management Corp. and a former member of the Relief Society general presidency, is the guest host.
The Church News Podcast is a weekly podcast that invites listeners to make a journey of connection with members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints across the globe. Host Sarah Jane Weaver, reporter and editor for The Church News for a quarter-century, shares a unique view of the stories, events, and most important people who form this international faith. With each episode, listeners are asked to embark on a journey to learn from one another and ponder, “What do I know now?” because of the experience. Produced by KellieAnn Halvorsen.

S02E04 Sense and Sensibility, Chapters 16 to 20
In this episode, we read Chapters 16 to 20 of Sense and Sensibility. We talk about how Marianne indulges her feelings, whether Jane Austen knew what Marianne and Willoughby talked about before he left, the clearer picture we get of Edward in these chapters, and Edward’s invisible servant.
The characters we discuss are Mr and Mrs Palmer. Ellen talks about sensibility and romanticism, which leads into a discussion of Marianne and Elinor’s different views of feelings and behaviour.
