Previously Oliver led the development and execution of communication strategies to create awareness for Johnson & Johnson’s deep commitment to scientific excellence, innovation, and collaborative partnerships to transform patient and consumer lives.
He oversaw communication for the global Johnson & Johnson Innovation Centers, J&J Innovation –
JLABS, J&J Innovation – JJDC, the company’s cross-sector Lung Cancer Initiative, World Without Disease Accelerator, and Health Technology Innovation. In 2016, he helped launch J&J’s “World Without Disease” strategy to transform the trajectory of human health for future generations by eliminating disease through prevention, interception, and cures.
Oliver gathered 20 years of experience in corporate, brand, financial, science and change communications, media relations, digital communications, crisis management, public relations, and public affairs. Having worked in the market, regional and global roles, and teams on two continents, he combines a global perspective with regional and local market experience.
Previously, Oliver led global R&D communication for the Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson. Prior to joining Johnson & Johnson, he led global R&D communication at AstraZeneca out of London, UK, and Pfizer’s regional corporate communications and media relations function for EMEA, Canada, Australia & New Zealand. He started his career in life-science communication heading the local public affairs & communications function for Pharmacia in an EMEA market and gathering diverse experiences in local and regional consultancy roles.
