Crafting Success: The Art of How, Not Just What

Crafting Success: The Art of How, Not Just What

In business, success often hinges on the execution of tasks and operations. While many entrepreneurs focus on the "what" of their responsibilities, the real magic lies in the "how."

Time management, for example, is a perennial struggle for entrepreneurs, especially in the fitness industry, where multiple hats must be worn.

The key is distinguishing between being busy and being productive.

Rather than drowning in data analysis and low-impact tasks, focus on high-leverage activities that move the business forward. Avoid the trap of doing what you like over what's best for the business.

Tune in for more real-world examples in the fitness business and the how behind them.

5 Things We've Learned in Selling 100 Franchise Locations

5 Things We've Learned in Selling 100 Franchise Locations

In this episode, Rick sits down with Alloy COO, Suzanne Robb, to discuss 5 things they've learned after awarding the first 100 Alloy Personal Training Franchise locations.

We are all proud of this great milestone here at Alloy, and we look forward to opening these locations and selling even more going forward.

One of the greatest lessons we have taken so far is the importance of purpose. Purpose is a bigger deal than we thought when we started the franchising journey. Fitness franchising offers an opportunity for return on investment, but there's a much higher purpose which helps when things become difficult.

In our case, the purpose is multi-layered. We provide a vehicle for people to get into better shape, be healthier, and live better. But we're also providing a framework for a franchise business to help people realize their dream of entrepreneurship.

Tune in as Rick and Suzanne go through the 5 lessons they've learned from selling 100 franchise locations.

    Key Takeaways

    - Purpose is very important (02:59)

    - Helping others become entrepreneurs through entrepreneurship (08:38)

    - Not everyone is cut for entrepreneurship (14:32)

    - Setting the right expectations for franchisees (22:14)

    - Simple businesses scales (29:43)

    - Put the right people in the right seats (37:07)

The Perks of Owning an Alloy Personal Training Franchise

The Perks of Owning an Alloy Personal Training Franchise

In this episode, Rick and Matt discuss the main perks of owning an Alloy Personal Training franchise over other franchises. Alloy offers a ton of perks that very few, if any, franchises offer to help our franchisees have the best chance for success.

One of the fears new franchisees have, especially those coming from employment, is losing benefits such as their health insurance or 401k. Here at Alloy, we offer all our franchisees a full suite of benefits so that they don’t worry about that.

Another major perk of becoming an Alloy franchisee is we help people become entrepreneurs. We want franchise owners to feel confident as they operate and thrive in their own Alloy fitness centers.

But these are not the only perks we offer; we care deeply about our franchisees and their well-being, and that’s why we have a whole suite of perks no other franchises offer. (We are sure about this)

Tune in to learn more about them.

    Key Takeaways

    - Why the Alloy Franchise stands out (04:10)

    - PEO services to our franchisees (06:39)

    - We help you become an entrepreneur (07:49)

    - Discounts from all our Alloy vendors (12:35)

    - Our sales hit team (17:38)

    - Our 31 years of experience in business (20:48)

    What Makes Personal Training "Personal"

    What Makes Personal Training "Personal"

In this episode, Matt and Rick discuss what really makes small group personal training "personal." Spoiler alert- it goes beyond exercise technique and great workouts.

The lens that you have to put on as a business and as a trainer if you are to truly deliver personal training in a small group setting is treating each person as an individual.

Each person in front of you is unique in what they need from you as a business or trainer. Finding out what they need and helping them is what personal training is all about.

Delivering a great workout is just one part of helping them. They need help in other aspects of their lives. Things such as nutrition, stress, sleep, and other interests.

And remember that life has its ups and downs, and as a personal trainer, you've got to guide them through all these things.

That is what puts the 'personal' in personal training.

In our model here at Alloy Personal Training, we train a maximum of 6 people in a small group setting but apply our technology, systems, and expertise to keep the promise of being personal.

Tune in to learn more about the Alloy systems.

    Key Takeaways

    - Servicing personal training in a small group setting (02:36)

    - The value proposition of personal training in a small group (05:50)

    - What do people look for in personal training in and out of the gym (06:36)

    - Delivering consistent customer experience (07:07)
