    In this episode, Matt and Rick discuss what really makes small group personal training "personal." Spoiler alert- it goes beyond exercise technique and great workouts.

    The lens that you have to put on as a business and as a trainer if you are to truly deliver personal training in a small group setting is treating each person as an individual.

    Each person in front of you is unique in what they need from you as a business or trainer. Finding out what they need and helping them is what personal training is all about.

    Delivering a great workout is just one part of helping them. They need help in other aspects of their lives. Things such as nutrition, stress, sleep, and other interests.

    And remember that life has its ups and downs, and as a personal trainer, you've got to guide them through all these things.

    That is what puts the 'personal' in personal training.

    In our model here at Alloy Personal Training, we train a maximum of 6 people in a small group setting but apply our technology, systems, and expertise to keep the promise of being personal.

    Why should anyone trust your business?

    One of the biggest indicators of the success of a business is the levels of trust customers have in it. Trust is the cornerstone upon which all other customer experiences are built on.

    So the question is, then how do you as a brand build trust? How do you get customers to trust that you are doing the right thing and want to do business with you and even refer their friends?

    Historically, gyms have not been very trustworthy. Clients are skeptical of our marketing and promises due to what they may have experienced in the past. It is our work as gym owners to correct this by building trust in our businesses.

    One of the things you can do to build trust is embracing full transparency in all that you do. All your marketing, messaging, and processes should be geared towards nurturing trust.
