Episode #55 - How to Determine Compatibility within Relationship

Episode #55 - How to Determine Compatibility within Relationship

We go to school and learn things like how to add up, ancient history, and geography. And yet we are never taught just how to BE. We are asked the question, 'What do you want to be when you grow up?' but are never asked, 'Who are you now? What do you want? What is important to you? What does living in your authentic truth look like for you?'

Is it any wonder that we end up in a relationship that ultimately doesn't serve us, when we have no idea of what we truly want, or who we truly are? In this week's episode, I talk about compatibility within a relationship, how to work out what you want, what you need, and how to know when it's game over.

    The Pivot part 2

I love hearing from my listeners and in this episode, I read some mailbag questions from guys who are having problems with their girlfriends.

The main topic of this episode is The Pivot. This is when a man brings a woman with him when he goes out to meet other women. I'm joined by some guests: we discuss the benefits of having a Pivot and how to handle yourself whenever a woman rejects you.

The essence of The Pivot is giving a woman an adequate amount of time to decide if she likes you physically or not. It's a great strategy and I highly recommend it to any guys out there who are looking to improve their dating game. Thanks for tuning in!

Petit Wisdoms - What's Your Relationship MO?

Petit Wisdoms - What's Your Relationship MO?

    Howdy ๐Ÿฅฐ

My track record in relationships has been a shitfight to be honest. I have been married 3 times, had numerous shorter and medium relationships and lots of non-starters.

If I knew then what I know now, my history would look entirely different.

I've been intentionally studying the qualities ofย  masculine and feminine energies and how they present in me and my relationships. It's been fascinating to be honest.

What I have realised is that my MO is to enter into a relationship based on physical attraction and hoping it would translate into emotional attraction. With challenging and unsuccessful results.

But as always, now that I know better, I will do better.

Take a listen to see if you resonate.

    I love you.

#11: Romantic Attraction - How Important Is It When Finding A Long Term Relationship, Are Our Standards A Form Of Self Protection & What Does "Settling" Really Mean?

There are so many factors when it comes to deciding who we find attractive in a romantic sense, and frustratingly, quite a few of these factors can distort how we view this topic.

In this episode, I discuss how important it is to find someone attractive if we are in a long term relationship with them, how our ego and the opinion of other's can impact who we find attractive and try to pursue in the hopes of finding long term happiness and finally, what does settling really mean? Could shifting the way we view this term have a positive impact on the way we decide who to be in a relationship with and find a happiness we could have been sabotaging by setting standards that are not only hard to meet, but do not impact how successful a relationship will be?

How To Coparent With Someone That Is Making You Crazy

How To Coparent With Someone That Is Making You Crazy

Although we wish every marriage could be saved, we know that it's not the reality for some people. Divorce is hard and no one should go through it alone.

Today's episode is with Julie Beckerman,ย  a High Conflict Relationship Coach. She chats about how hard divorce can be difficult, especially with children involved. Julie provides insight on how we can communicate better with our spouse when conflict is high and emotions are strong when going through a divorce.ย

Please share this episode with anyone struggling with communication with their ex-spouse or, anyone that has kids going through a difficult divorce.

Today's Speaker: Julie Beckerman, High Conflict Relationship Coach

Divorce isnโ€™t easy, and mine was certainly no exception. In 2014, after 10 years of marriage, with the decision to get divorced, I began the most difficult, scary, confusing, angering, and liberating journeys of my life:

I navigated the waters of co-parenting, being a stay-at-home-mom, changing friendships, lawyers and courtrooms, living in the same house with my ex, relationships with ex-in-laws, dating, my ex getting remarried, going back to work, moving to a new home, new school for my daughter, new job, starting a new career, a new lifeโ€ฆ

With the help of a solid support system, I began to see this as not just a challenge to get through, which it certainly was, but also an opportunity that had only just begun.

    • Iโ€™m a Certified Professional Coach from the Institute of Professional Excellence in Coaching, as well as a certified career counselor from New York University.
    • I have experience and training in Dialectic Behavior Therapy, Effective Communication, and Mindfulness techniques with a background working in business and Human Resources.
    • I have experience navigating the transitions of divorce and dealing with the loss of a loved one, addiction, and health & fitness.

The DiSC Profile Explained with Dr. Joe Beam

The DiSC Profile Explained with Dr. Joe Beam

In the last episode of 2021 and our personality series, Kimberly talks with Dr. Joe Beam about the DiSC profile. Dr. Beam explains each quadrant of DiSC and how you can use your profile to understand others better and have better relationships.

You will learn the importance of understanding your spouse's DiSC personality so you can speak their language and vice versa. When you know about your spouse and know how they are wired, it helps make the marriage or relationship stronger.

Dr. Beam says it doesn't mean you give up who you are. It just means if you want success in a relationship, whether it's romantic, parental work, anything, you learn how to speak people's language.
