Why Are People Rooting Against Swift and Kelce's Engagement? (Special Podcast Highlight)

Why Are People Rooting Against Swift and Kelce's Engagement? (Special Podcast Highlight)

Trending with Timmerie takes you deep into the heart of the internet's latest obsession: the budding romance between pop icon Taylor Swift and football superstar Travis Kelce. With the world watching, speculation runs wild: Will Kelce bend the knee with a ring if he clinches the Super Bowl?

🎶🏈 The duo has been under the digital microscope, sparking debates and fake news alike – from engagement rumors to baby talks, all of which Kelce humorously dismisses, focusing solely on his Super Bowl aspirations. Yet, behind the celebrity sheen lies a deeper cultural conundrum that Timmerie keenly observes: Why does the idea of Swift and Kelce speeding towards engagement ignite such fervent opposition?

The sight of Swift cozying up with Kelce's mom had minds racing – is this moving too fast? Yet, this rapid progression isn't just about celebrity timelines; it's a mirror reflecting society's complex relationship with commitment, marriage, and the very foundation of family life.

❤️ Amidst our collective love affair with love stories, Timmerie suggests a paradox: while we cheer for romance, the prospect of marriage and, more profoundly, family life stirs deep-seated fears. It's as if society is caught in a whirlpool of wanting "happily-ever-afters" but dreading the sacrifices they entail – from dealing with personal and familial flaws to facing the monumental responsibility of parenthood.

Marriage, as Timmerie enlightens, is the beginning of a grand, albeit challenging, adventure. It's a divine call to transform, to embrace a mission larger than oneself – a theme resonant throughout history. This transformation, symbolized by a change of name in marriage, signifies a readiness to embark on life's most rewarding journey: family.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Timmerie peels back the layers of societal skepticism surrounding marriage, highlighting the beauty and permanence of the commitment. She shares insights from older couples, whose enduring love stories stand as testaments to the power of faith, fidelity, and the willingness to weather life's storms together.

As for Swift and Kelce, their whirlwind romance, whether it heads down the aisle or not, serves as a poignant reminder of what truly matters: finding someone willing to dive into the depths of commitment, to sacrifice, to grow, and perhaps, to build a family. In a world quick to cynically swipe left on the idea of lasting love, their story invites us to ponder the possibility of saying "yes" to life's greatest adventure.

As you await the next chapter in the Swift-Kelce saga, let's reflect on our own views of love, marriage, and the courage to embrace the fullness of life. After all, in the grand tapestry of human experience, it's love, commitment, and the joy of sharing life with another that weave the most enduring stories.

Now, over to you: Are you team #SwiftKelce, or do you find yourself pondering the deeper implications of their high-speed love story?

Britney Spears' Abortion Regret (Special Podcast Highlight)

Britney Spears' Abortion Regret (Special Podcast Highlight)

Abortion deeply hurts women, and so often they feel forced into getting one. The pain, trauma, and heartache that women face after abortion is often ignored by the media, but the facts remain. Abortion is not pro-woman.

In a recent episode of "Trending," Timmerie reflects on the revelation that pop icon Britney Spears underwent an abortion in her teenage years, an experience she deeply regrets. This information surfaced ahead of the release of her memoir, where Britney candidly discusses the profound emotional turmoil and post-abortion suffering she faced. She recounts her relationship with Justin Timberlake, emphasizing his unwillingness to embrace fatherhood at the time. Spears even connects the theme of her song "Every Time" to this traumatic experience, with lyrics that poignantly depict her emotional struggle and the haunting loss of her child. Watching her past performances, it's evident that the pain of her abortion weighed heavily on her, influencing her behavior and mental well-being for decades. Timmerie points out the importance of men stepping up during these challenging times of unplanned pregnancy.

Drawing from Britney's experience, she advocates for the need to provide support and resources for women who've had abortions, emphasizing the importance of healing.

    Let's Get MOTIVATED!

    Let's Get MOTIVATED!

Woo Woo Woo! We're back together in the car again! Ramelle is PUMPED from her Tom Ferry convention and subsequently got Leslie hyped too! Hey man, it's why we're besties. We talk about getting and staying motivated and we wanted to bring the light to y'all! We chit chat about some questionable jobs we had in the early 2000's that taught us some valuable lessons. We talk about Simone Biles and Sha'Carrie Richardson being incredibly inspirational and motivational. We aim to be the kinda girl that protects other women like Renee Rap ushering Drew Barrymore away from danger. We go on a few tangents here and there, but hey, it's what we do. And you gotta hear why we believe that gossip, is in fact, important.

We tell y'all about our version of the Hard 75!

Both Leslie and Ramelle have chosen 5 things to do for the next 75 days. We started on August 28, 2023 and will end on November 11, 2023. Join us! Your day one can be any day, or just start any time and finish strong with on on November 11th, and keep going if you feel like it! Any step you make to improve your life should be celebrated. Here's what we chose if you need some inspo:

    Ramelle's 5 Hard

    1. Work out 20 minutes per day
    2. Ready 20 minutes per day
    3. Wake up at 5 am
    4. No cokes
    5.  One @ramelletherealtor post a day

     Leslie's 5 Hard

    1. No cokes
    2. No YouTube drama
    3. Wash face day and night and make self presentable for the day. (at least a little)
    4. Stretch for 15 minutes a day, focusing on Asian Squat
    5. 10 things I'm grateful and thankful for every day

Then we discuss our favorite Motivational Songs for our Triple Dipper. We preface this by saying those were our hype songs for THAT DAY and that these and a multitude of other songs could be our favorite motivational song on any given day based on our mood, the time of the day, are we hungry, are you in public. These picks are very situational but also, these are some dang good songs.

Thanks for joining us and we'll see y'all next week!

    The Cancel Culture Episode

    The Cancel Culture Episode

On this episode we discuss the idea and topic of Cancel Culture, ew. Who gets canceled and for what? Are we okay with someone owning their mistakes and realizing that they've grown and learned as a person? Is ignorance bliss when it comes to canceling? Do you still listen to R Kelly? Do we listen to Michael Jackson? Y'all show your kids the Cosby Show after Bill Cosby's convictions? At what point can we no longer enjoy a canceled persons art? What is the line between being a person and learning and not being perfect and abusing their power as a famous person? Can you apologize genuinely while playing a ukulele?

Basically we dance back and forth between, if we don't idolize these people, then they can't disappoint us. But at what point do you have a responsibility as a famous person to use your platform to speak out? All these questions and more answered and asked in this episode.

See y'all next week! Woo Woo Woo!

Correction: In this episode Ramelle mistakenly mentioned that Kobe Bryant passed away in July. To clarify, Kobe Bryant tragically passed away in January. We appreciate your understanding. Thank you for tuning in.
