GHP 089: How To Change The Channel In Your Mind w/ Kyle Keyser From The Boston Bruins

Hello everyone, and welcome back to the Goalie Hacks Podcast, I’m excited to be joined today by another active professional goaltender, current starter with the Providence Bruins in the AHL, and that gentleman is Kyle Keyser.

We dive briefly into the most important skill that young kids should be developing at a young age while they’re playing minor hockey that will translate well and help them transition better to the next level when they get there. The biggest adjustments that eventually helped him find much more success at the major junior level. His first impressions of the leagues as a younger guy, and the major adjustments he realized he had to make to be able to compete at the highest level of pro hockey in North America. The biggest adjustment he had to make to be able to compete at that level after spending 3 years playing pro and having played over 45 games up to this point. Biggest Misconception among amateur goaltenders and minor league parents that they should have more clarity on. Some of the characteristics that he noticed of the NHL level that separates it as the best league in the world, and why it’s so hard for goaltenders to break into?
