The crypt has bust open and a classic Disney attraction rises from the grave once again - this time with a start studded cast who are just as happy to be there as they are to cash a check. Wow! Ghost!

This is the best Haunted Mansion movie that doesn’t have Muppets in it. There’s nothing foul or fiendish here, unless like Clancy you’re not a fan of Jared Leto.

But those vibrations are so sensitive because our vacation was pretty dang rejuvenating. That, some editing woes, and Clancy’s sudden work trip means we’re prepping for the upcoming drop of 2023’s Haunted Mansion with a Rewind to Muppet Haunted Mansion! It was an absolute scream, and we hope it gives a glimpse into the future of the Muppet brand rising from the dead.

There really isn’t a whole lot to say about The New Mutants that we don’t cover in less time than they did. There’s easily about a podcast’s length of plot that was left on the cutting room floor. Hocus Pocus 2 is exactly what you would expect it to be. As much as it excels in grounding and contemporizing its protagonists (who we’d love to see more of), it struggles in fits and starts to breathe new life into the resurrected corpses of anyone but Billy Butcherson. And perhaps Sarah. 

Much like its predecessor, it’s fine! Who doesn’t enjoy - nay, tolerate - “family friendly” Halloween content? But there’s a reason it took this long to get made, and a big part of that is a dedicated, already-bought-in audience. Magika mystica captialisticka.
