Episode 65, "Life Expectations," 8/27/21
"A good life doesn't have to be happy, or even meaningful." That's the claim of a recent article which is up for discussion in this week's episode. If that is indeed the case, of what does a good life consist in the absence of happiness, or meaning? Listen here for potential alternatives.
Being a Cop in Today's Society w Zeek Arkham Part 2
But Zeek is tired of that environment and recently reached a point where he had to speak out. So he became active on social media, especially Twitter (@zeekarkham), where he has over 30,000 followers, and he started a podcast called Reasonable Suspicion. He calls himself a CWA (Cop With Attitude) and he definitely lives up to the name!
Most importantly though, Zeek is strait up honest and brutally truthful about what is happening to law enforcement in today's society, and why all of us should care. What's it like making a split second decision that could literally lead to life or death for you or another person? How frustrating is it to be constantly questioned and second-guessed by people who have never been in law enforcement or even picked up a weapon, let alone done a course on it?
Please follow him on Twitter and subscribe to his podcast and newly commissioned YouTube channel!

Out of My Dreams, Into My Car
This week's episode is slightly abbreviated, because Nazim is injured and can't laugh without screaming in pain. With that in mind, the case of Kansas v. Glover is discussed, which asks whether the police can assume the registered driver of a vehicle is the driver of that vehicle before performing a stop. It's both more and less complicated than it sounds. Law starts at (07:50), and we're covering the DACA case next week.
