    18-The Redemptive-Historical Perspective

    18-The Redemptive-Historical Perspective

Kim addresses the covenantal focus of biblical eschatology, concentrating on our union with Jesus Christ and His life, death, burial, and resurrection. Redemption accomplished and redemption applied comes back into the conversation with a much deeper reality and context. Christ's full mission of bringing in God's Kingdom is Definitive, Progressive, and Final and is worked out in the historical past, present, and future.

Pulling Down Strongholds - Paul M. Williams

Pulling Down Strongholds - Paul M. Williams

    Romans 6:14

What strongholds are you pulling down at present in your life?  Does sin reign unchecked in your life?  Are you gaining mastery over sinful lusts and passions, or are they gaining mastery over you?  Does sin have dominion over you or do you have dominion over sin?

Brothers and Sisters, we must vow to fight!  We’re in a war and as God said to Cain, “...sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him” (Gen. 4:7).  You say, but Brother, the sinful desires are so strong, I can barely resist the pull towards evil!  I hear you! But can I ask you this question, which man are you feeding?  The carnal man or the spiritual man?  Your flesh or your spirit?   There’s a principle that holds true, “...whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap” (Gal. 6:7).  If I sow a field full of tares/weeds, then it should be of no surprise if when I come back after several months, the field is overgrown with weeds!!  I’m not going to find a healthy crop of wheat Maize, for that to happen, I need to sow the right kind of seed.

    Metamorphosis

    Metamorphosis

Pastor Shawn is on sabbatical for the summer, returning to the pulpit September 4th. We have several speakers who will be filling our pulpit while he is enjoying his time of restoration and rest. Today we welcome Pastor Joshua Graber from Zion Lutheran Church in Cooperstown, ND, who is sharing his message "Metamorphosis". His text is Romans 6:1-14.

Crucified With Christ - Paul M. Williams

Crucified With Christ - Paul M. Williams

    Romans 6:1-14

What soldier is armed with an ornamental sword, to take to the field of battle?  Outwardly, it appears shiny behold, but when drawn from its sheath the soldier finds the blade is blunt!  So many Christians, arm themselves with the great positional statements of Holy Scripture, and yet when asked to see the evidence of such truths in the life of their experience, they are unable to furnish the proof.

This sermon is a challenge calling for the rubber of our theology to meet the road of our experience!
