Wow sometimes I get asked how I can possibly fill 2-3 hours of conversation with someone and I don't know how to answer because it comes easy to me. But then you have on a guest like Mitch Clarke who has accomplished so much and done so many amazing things the question is how did you only do 2 hours?! This man has fought in the regional scene, the UFC, gone back and wrestled collegiately, commentated for Unified mma, still trains and coaches bjj and mma AND is making a name for himself as a Pro Wrestler in multiple organizations across Alberta. This was such a cool ass conversation im sure we could have kept going for 7 horus if time allowed it! I cannot wait to get this manimal back on the pod and out to some comedy shows (undercover funny bastard).
In the meantime please go follow him on instagram @mitchclarkemma and catch him wwwwrastlin Sept 8th at the real Canadian Wrestling Show at Norwood Legion as well as Oct 20th for Top Talent Wrestling at one of the best venues in town Midway Music Hall!
As always come out mondays at 7:30 and Thursdays at 8pm for some amazing comedy shows!
Finally! Someone that I could talk comedy and fighting with! Jim Kerr is a comedian, rapper, boxing aficionado and a certified fella and we had a doozy of a time recording over beers at dukes diner on the UofA campus! We chatted all things stand up including how he got his start in both rapping and comedy, how to run a show and a whole lot of information for beginner comics like me! And on top of all that we got to talk a whole butt ton of fighting! UFC, boxing, Dana Whites Contender Series all of it. I have heard from a lot of you that you don’t like the fight talk but this has tons of interesting behind the scenes info about how the fight game works that is fascinating to anyone! Give it a chance baby!
Also a huge thank you for everyone who came out to the shows in Slave Lake it was a dream come true! Special thanks to @willyhannigan @bobbywarrener @malikelassal for letting me be a part of it and @dogislandbrewing and @standupguys_ca for putting it on. This should be the first of many.
Check Jim Kerr out below and go see him live every Wednesday at station on jasper, I may even be there ;)

Decided to break out the mic's on the road home from our weeklong trip to Penticton B.C. It is my absolute favourite place on earth and the trip was full of playing with kids, testing out our new boat, wakesurfing, go karting and a whole lot of relaxation. We also break down the crazy stacked card that was UFC 276 including Suga's heartbreaking no contest, Volk staking his claim for P4P #1 and the war that was Lawler v. Barberena. Come hear all about it in this roadcast as well as some travel banter of Ingo's majestic passes and a few A-holes cutting us off lol. Apologies for any road noise but I think it just adds to the emersion and makes you feel like you are sitting right in the truck with us!

A solo episode on a Monday?! Blasphemy! Just kidding, but when there is a UFC card that huge I just had to sit down Sunday morning and recap the rollercoaster of emotions that was UFC 264. As I do more of these solo episodes the more I realize how helpful they are to my mental health and when I let 2-3 weeks go by without doing one I definitely feel it so apart from the fight recap I also discuss my mental health journey my last few weekends and just what is going on in my life and with this podcast journey. Work, puppies, and curveballs have been a lot to handle as of late and I even talk about my first experience with a panic/anxiety attack and what tools I used to work through it. And don't worry this week's interview episode that would have gone up today with musical artist and all around psychotic goofball @_sidechick_ is going to drop friday alongside the release of his latest single, Polymer, which sounds like another certified banger form the sneak peaks I have heard so far! Pre-save it now and don't miss this episode it's wiiiiiiild.
TL;DR Suga Sean is the greatest, Brad Tavares is a flow state assassin that deserves a huge shot, Jennifer Maia is the real deal but Jessica Eye won herself some fans, Dricus Du Plessis with a star making performance in the octagon and on the mic, Ripped my heart in two seeing Ryan hall lose, Pereira and Niko Price are both certifiably insane and the UFC is genius for matching them up, Condit is actually wolverine, Tai Tuivasa couldn’t be more perfect if he tried, Great win for Burns but I still want to see wonderboy get a crack at Usman, and you will have to listen to hear all that went into the main event!
“For me, it's trying to be really present with what I'm doing at the time and not bringing the other things into what I'm doing at the moment. So, if I'm with my kids, I'm not also doing core work and multitasking.” - Sara Hall
Hey, what's up everybody, it's Jon here. Thanks for tuning into Fueling the Pursuit presented by UCAN. Today's guest is Sara Hall, the fastest active women’s marathoner in the US today.
Sara has been competing at a high level in running since her high school days back in the late 90’s. Today, Sara may be 37 years old, but she has no interest in slowing down anytime soon. For as long as she can, she’s set her sights on realizing her potential before the window of opportunity to do so closes.
During our conversation with Sara, it becomes clear that being present is one of the keys to her longevity and recent successes in the marathon. Even though she’s a mother of four beautiful daughters, she shares why having less time helps her get the most out of every activity on her daily schedule. I truly believe our conversation with Sara will inspire you to enjoy the journey and all of the challenges it will bring.
