In the twenty-seventh episode of Season 6 (Heists, Cons, & Grifters) Kyle is joined by fellow podcasters Ben Thelen (of the Dead Reckoner podcast) and Daniel Lopez (of the Ghosts podcast) to discuss the futility of status, wealth, and nobility that defines the cynical journey of an Irish con-artist rogue in Stanley Kubrick's Barry Lyndon (1975).

In the twenty-sixth episode of Season 6 (Heists, Cons, & Grifters) Kyle is joined by novelists Samuel Cullado and Alex Buda to discuss the disarming charm and perceptive wit of Peter Bogdanovich's Depression-era assessment of devastating poverty, hypocritical religion, and con-artist opportunism in Paper Moon (1973).

Joining us this week is the magnificent actor Bree Elrod. You can see Bree in one of 2021’s best films, ‘Red Rocket.’ But she’s on the show this week to talk about 1973’s ‘Paper Moon’ and the character of Addie Loggins played by Tatum O’Neal. Bree discusses trying to maintain the level of curiosity and openness in her acting that is inhabited by O’Neal’s fresh-faced performance in the film. Bree also talks about working with Sean Baker and what it was like acting with the locals in Texas City in ‘Red Rocket.’ Plus, at the end of the show, Jordan highlights the best horror movies of 2021.

Connor and Jon are left nearly speechless by the tastelessness of the film that "Hollywood doesn't want you to see." There's good reason for that slogan as it is nearly unbearable to watch. Even so, the boys slug through the film and rag on this weird part of film history that is better left forgotten.
