I believe as many others do that we are living in the end of the end times, and we need to be very aware of what that means. That’s why we are spending our mid-week study on this crucial topic. Is Jesus really commending us to be docile push overs? Blessed are the meek - if you want the blessing of meekness but are conflicted by modern definitions, listen for clarity and inspiration.

Meekness is not really seen as a virtue anywhere in the western world. In fact, meek people are often ridiculed as weak, wimpy or in need of counseling to overcome their low self-esteem. Yet as we look at the life of Jesus we see that He possessed and exemplified meekness and yet was not weak, wimpy or suffering from low self-esteem.

This morning Sam continued in our series - The Beatitudes, with Part 4 - Blessed are the meek.

Do you really know what meekness is? Do you know what it looks like? Do you know why you are blessed if you have it?

Be yoked to Christ 3. Yield to the Spirit 4. Yield your rights and expectations to God 5. Accept what God gives 6. Trust God to make all things right 7. Rejoice in the reward
