    Michelle Mintz, M.S., CCC-SLP, The Early Development Expert's background is as a Speech-Language Pathologist for over 25 years, specializing in working with children from birth to 5 years old. Her therapy experiences inspired her to create her unique company, Baby Blooming Moments® which empowers mom, dads, grandparents, siblings, and nannies with babies birth to three, to enrich the way they interact with their babies and toddlers.Michelle earned her B.A. in Speech and Hearing Sciences from U.C. Santa Barbara and her M.S. in Speech-Language Pathology from Boston University before establishing her private practice in Santa Monica, CA in 1995, having decades of experience working with families. She is also the author of All Done Binky!, a book to help support families with babies and toddlers weaning off pacifiers.

    How can educators and parents work together to help students develop self management? How can educators and parents work on their own self management skills and model them for kids? And how can teachers turn something like a rainy day into a lesson on self-management? Find answers to questions like these and more as we speak about self management with Wendy Turner. She teaches second grade at Mount Pleasant Elementary in Wilmington, Delaware and was Delaware Teacher of the Year in 2017.

    Wendy is passionate about connecting learning in the classroom to the real world. Deeply committed to social-emotional learning, she guides her students to embody respect, empathy, resilience, citizenship, and growth mindset through dynamic classroom experiences. In 2017, Wendy was named the Delaware Teacher of the Year. Additional awards and leadership include being named a Delaware Compassion Champion Awardee, an NEA Foundation Global Learning Fellow culminating with field work in South Africa, and a Presidential Awardee for Excellence in Teaching Science . Currently she is an SEL expert, advocate, and trainer and is serving on the Delaware State Board of Education.
