Resurrection Faith - Audio
The story of the skeptic Thomas illustrates what an elusive thing faith is. Can a person simply decide to believe something? Is it possible to 'will' faith into being? How is it that we come to accept something as true, when it seems impossible or highly unlikely? Thomas could not believe that Jesus was alive unless he could actually touch the scars in His hands and side. Jesus granted his wish, but what about us? We do not get the same opportunity to examine the resurrected body of Jesus. Is our faith, then, just a blind leap? The account of Thomas help us understand the nature of faith and what is required for our faith to exist and grow stronger. We learn that faith is both a process and a pursuit.
