Purity the KEY FOR REVIVAL! w/ Dr. Doug Weiss | Prophecy Live

Purity the KEY FOR REVIVAL! w/ Dr. Doug Weiss | Prophecy Live

“America is losing its authority because we’ve become immoral, and because of this immorality, we’re financially out of control”.

In today’s live broadcast, Joseph Z features Dr. Doug Weiss and they discussed purity, as the key to revival. Dr. Weiss proceeds by responding to Joseph’s question about the obstacles that have made revival impossible in recent times. He makes us understand that God desires revival and wants every man to cry out to Him, but the reason why this isn’t happening is because of the Jezebel spirit that has invaded the church. He goes on to inform us that our forefathers never intended for a non-Christian to hold public office and that the church is supposed to have dominion over the arts, science, entertainment, and finances because it’s our World. But because the Church of today has made room for the spirit of Jezebel, sexual immorality now runs rampant in the minds of many and has thus caused a major hindrance to revival in the Church today.

Moving on, Dr. Weiss shares his experiences as a Minister of God and the good works that the Lord continues to do, around the world, through him. He makes us realize the grievous consequences of sexual immorality and the damage it creates in the lives of those who are victims of it directly or indirectly. Also, he goes further to reveal that America is still God’s favorite weapon from the kingdom of God’s perspective, and regardless of where we find ourselves today, revival is still coming to America; because when America is strong, the world is strong. Again, he insists that he is optimistic about God’s move to restore America. Moreso, he urges us all to rise to rule our school boards, uprooting every element of pornography in our school system, that has corrupted the lives of our children.

Additionally, Dr. Weiss brings to our understanding that Jesus not only asked us to go to Church but also charged us to go to Jerusalem; which means that we’re expected to make disciples of the whole world and not just our immediate environments. More importantly, he urges those of us who are guilty of sexual immorality to seek deliverance by confessing our sins to a brother in Christ and get assistance on how to overcome this addiction; because when one takes responsibility for one’s actions, one begins to heal. He then prays for us all, asking for God’s blessings upon us and all those who take the brave step to heal from sexual immorality, today.

    Called Unto Holiness

    Called Unto Holiness

    1 Thessalonians 4:1-7

If I was to ask the vast majority of professing believers, what it was that Jesus accomplished upon the cross.  Without hesitation, the overwhelming response would be, “He died that sins might be forgiven”, to that I say amen!!  But if I was to probe a little further by asking the second time, “what was it that Jesus accomplished upon the cross”, for the most part, I would be greeted by blank faces. The Church in our hour regrettably, has chosen to focus only on that one aspect of the cross — sins forgiven — and the conclusion that it has drawn from this, though it would never say it is this: “The only difference between the world and the Christian is this; the Christian has been forgiven of their sins whereas the world has not?”  In other words, when it boils down to Christian living, there isn’t really any radical difference between the child of God and the child of wrath.  But friends, the Bible that I hold in my hand rejects this darkened reasoning.  What saith the Apostle?  “...Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?” (Rom. 6:1-2).  Not only did Jesus die to save us from the penalty of sin, but He also died to save us from the power of sin.

In this sermon, we move from the category of sins general, to focus on sin specific, namely the sin of sexual immorality. Let us heed the warnings given to us in God’s Word.

126 : The black hole of immorality

126 : The black hole of immorality

Does it seem as though culture is becoming increasingly more immoral? Did you ever think abortion would be legal 28 days after birth? Did you believe divorce and the approval of gay marriage would lead us to transgenderism? Shanda talks about the black hole of immorality and what you can do to move back to the hard line of truth.

2/24 Leviticus 18 - Purity in an Impure World

2/24 Leviticus 18 - Purity in an Impure World

Leviticus 18 is a well-known passage for its long list of condemnation of various sexual sins. And while it may be overwhelming, it's still helpful for us to know what God thinks about the sins of our world. And, even more importantly, we need to understand the judgment that awaits those who flagrantly violate His commands. So, join us in this heavy chapter that guides us in what purity looks like in an impure world.

    DISCUSSION AND THOUGHT QUESTIONS:

    1. The podcast mentioned that ancient rabbis supposedly said that the Book of Leviticus was one of the first books that should be taught to children. How might the difficult material of Leviticus 18 protect children?

    2. The podcast explained that the Book of Leviticus contains specific laws for the Israelites, but that Leviticus 18 was for all nations, for all times. What in Leviticus 18 shows this to be the case? What does Leviticus 18 show us will happen to a nation that violates these laws?

    3. Verse 4 end by reminding the people that the Lord is their God. Why was this simple fact so important for them to remember when it comes to these laws? “Who” or “what” might be in competition with the Lord on these matters?

    4. When people refuse to obey God’s laws, they often cite themselves and what they want to do; or what they think is right. Who are these people ultimately saying is their “god”?

    5. What does verse 6 (and following) mean by the phrase “uncover their nakedness”? Who is spoken of in this prohibition in verses 7 to 11? How does the repetition of this command clarity what is pure in God’s eyes?

    6. In verse 25, what will the land do with those who break these laws? How have we seen this happen throughout history?

    7. Sometimes people read Leviticus 18 looking for gaps that where they can do something impure because it’s not listed in this passage. Is this passage meant to be exhaustive? What was Jesus’ point in Matthew 5:27&28? How does this help us understand the principle of holiness in life?

    8. If you were to read Leviticus 18 in the public sphere (such as at work/school, etc.), how do you think people would respond? Where can you pray for the Lord to open hearts that people might repent and follow His ways?
