    WTF Happened to ANTONIO BANDERAS?

    WTF Happened to ANTONIO BANDERAS?

Banderas has had his ups and downs at the box office in the years since. The Legend of Zorro proved to be an underwhelming sequel, while his follow-up to Desperado, Once Upon a Time in Mexico, got a mixed reaction from fans. After that, he had starring roles in the Spy Kids franchise, which demonstrated a flair for comedy, and had a major success voicing Puss in Boots in the Shrek franchise. However, by the 2010s, he was mainly doing DTV action flicks, although some of them, such as the underrated Automata, were actually pretty good. He seems poised for a comeback recently, earning raves and an Academy Award nomination for his role in Almodóvar’s Pain and Glory. In addition, he’ll be acting in the fifth Indiana Jones movie opposite Harrison Ford. Join us as we revisit his career in this episode of WTF Happened to this Celebrity!

    Alexa PenaVega

    Alexa PenaVega
You might know Alexa PenaVega best for her roles in movies like Spy Kids and Twister, but she’s so much more than an actress. As a YouTuber, blogger, author, wife and mom, Alexa is constantly envisioning new ways to tell stories with her life.

Those stories are informed by her faith, which has been an anchor point throughout her adult life. The same has been true for her husband Carlos PenaVega, to who she has been married since 2014. Together, the couple has three lively boys, and the family is consistently exploring what it looks like to embody love. The most recent way they’re doing that is through the book "What if Love is the Point?" available on June 28 from Thomas Nelson.

On this episode of Trevor Talks, Alexa talks about the book, growing up as a child star, her journey into faith and recovery from her eating disorder. It’s a down-to-earth conversation sure to leave you encouraged about what can happen when we truly surrender to our purpose.

Book of Boba Fett: The Streets of Mos Espa

The Briikasak gang chats about the tonal weirdness and strange style choices of Chapter Three: The Streets of Mos Espa. Topics include the killing of an entire Tuskan village off-screen, the absurdly dumb colors of the street gang’s motorcycles, Boba Fett being a horse girl, theories about who Sophie Thatcher is, and how goddamn slow that chase scene was. Because dank farrik!

The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl (2005)

A movie written by a 7-year old doesn't exactly translate to adult criticism. But we try to have some fun with the dream world of Planet Drool, Taylor Lautner's acting and the acid-trip CGI. Featuring a surprise celebrity cameo appearance!

The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl is episode 17 of Superhero Century, where we are watching every superhero movie in chronological order.

    ALITA: BATTLE ANGEL

    ALITA: BATTLE ANGEL

We'll be honest: we 100% expected the United States to be in complete flames post-Inauguration (reality: it was super boring), so in anticipation of massive bloodshed, Aya and Kevin decided to spend their final moments alive pounding beers and watching ALITA: BATTLE ANGEL. And why not dude, it's a Power Hour, too, sure, welcome to the BATTLE ANGEL POWER HOUR.

Aya and Kevin get plowed to smithereens by the secretly perfect 2019 cult classic, exploring the coziness & perversions of anime, Rosa Salazar's incredible earnestness, and the surprising similarities to Bong Joon-ho's PARASITE.

    Highest Rated: Spy Kids

We struggled a bit with this first installment of the Spy Kids franchise. Which is somehow the highest rated one in the series on IMDB. We did have fun in the end, but let's be real, that's probably the wine talking.
