SOME MALE BONDING is all the crew behind Star Trek: Enterprise needed to get excited again about their show late in the first season. This bottle episode that was largely a two-hander wound up bonding actors Connor Trinneer and Dominic Keating IRL. Does this one evoke the adventure and progressivism that are the hallmarks of Trek, or does it tend to scratch the itch of its corporate masters who want a more conventional network TV show?

Joining Bryan to discuss another episode in TMK's Two Hander series are Kayla Iacovino & Brian Drew, hosts of Shuttle Pod on the TrekMovie.com feed. Does this popular episode make a whole lot of sense? More importantly, is it a TREK, MARRY, or KILL?

    The grades begin at (19:08).

    ENT: "Judgment" (s2e19)

    ENT: "Judgment" (s2e19)

TRIAL BY RETCON. Ohhhh, sorry Captain Kirk. Turns out it's fairly common for the captain of (the) Enterprise to stand trial on the Klingon home world. Jonathan Archer did it 80 years before you were even born! Our Trials of Season Two theme month continues with this rehash of Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country with some DS9 "Tribunal" thrown in for good measure as David Goodman, the President of the Writers Guild of America, jumps from sitcoms to Star Trek to co-write an episode that borrows heavily from established franchise history. Is it a winner or all too familiar?

The grades begin at (19:06). Also, Bryan makes a big mistake when he references Tuvok being on the Excelsior during Star Trek VI as being in the Star Trek: Voyager episode "Timeless" when we ALL know it's "Flashback."

This month: Laurie Ulster from TrekMovie.com joined Bryan to judge the first two episodes from The Animated Series (1973).

BRYAN AND KRISTEN kick off the second season of Trek Marry Kill with a review of season one. What worked? What didn't work? What was the biggest complaint and how did we decide to address it? Season two will feature some minor tweaks to the format, including theme months, the animated shows, a new question to ask before TREK, MARRY, OR KILL? and a list of Wild Card episodes that Kristen drew from a Spock mug.

Stay tuned because we dropped two episodes this week: Counselor Troi is pregnant in The Next Generation's second season premiere, "The Child."

    ENT: "Broken Bow" (s1e1)

    ENT: "Broken Bow" (s1e1)

THE FIRST PREQUEL to bear the name Star Trek, and it's incredible that so much of Enterprise has remained canon despite all the changes to the universe following the Chris Pine movies. Bryan and Kristen explore the big 2-hour premiere episode of the last Trek show of the Rick Berman era to see if Scott Bakula works as the first captain of a starship named Enterprise and if humanity's first adventure into deep space lives up to those adventures in the previous pilots.

Is this the greatest Star Trek pilot ever? Do you wish you could hop into a decontamination chamber with T'Pol or Trip? Of course, the biggest "controversy" of the show's four-season run was its theme song. Is "Faith of the Heart" a bop or a flop?

Lieblingsfolge: Star Trek Depp Space Nine - "Valiant" (S06/E22)

Lieblingsfolge: Star Trek Depp Space Nine - "Valiant" (S06/E22)
Danke daher an Michel! Lieblingsfolge: Star Trek Enterprise - "Dear Doctor" (S01/E13)

Lieblingsfolge: Star Trek Enterprise - "Dear Doctor" (S01/E13)
Episodenbesprechung: Short Treks - "Ask Not" (S02/03)

Episodenbesprechung: Short Treks - "Ask Not" (S02/03)
Trekabout Special 2: Trekkie Feminist
Progressive ideals bumping up against the realities of contemporary mores? Why, we must be talking feminism in Trek with Jarrah Hodge, founder of Trekkie Feminist! Star Trek has always had a… problematic relationship with feminism and with its female characters, and we talk about that tension for a solid hour. Plus! Which Uhura is better ...
