Tobi provides social strategies for an array of digital content from video to photos for brands. He regularly works for clients such as Audi, Adidas, Coca-Cola and Samsung. He is an alumnus Adobe Lightroom Ambassador and Sony Global Imaging Ambassador. His first solo photo book, Equilibrium, is available now, and he starred in the award-winning documentary, I Take Photos. He is currently showing work in Brazil and in Chicago, some of which was recently selected as part of the 2023 MvVO awards.

Teresa Au (@tautastic) is an executive for community engagement at Adobe. Her career spans diverse creative fields, primarily in New York’s fashion industry, as well as architecture firms, and now Silicon Valley tech companies. E344 - Rap, Faith, and the Power of Story with Brannon Shortt

E344 - Rap, Faith, and the Power of Story with Brannon Shortt

    Description:

Saddleback Content Development Pastor Jason Wieland is joined by Bayside Church Teaching Pastor/Rapper Brannon Shortt. Storytelling is one of the oldest and most-used forms of communication in human history. We use stories to teach lessons to little kids (think Aesop’s fables or fairy tales) and we continue to learn from stories as adults (think of the great works of literature, film, music).

Another place we often hear stories is during church. We don’t just hear or read the stories from the Bible, but preachers often incorporate stories into their sermons as a way to highlight a point or provide context for what they are teaching. Today’s guest, Brannon Shortt, is a preacher, rapper, and candlemaker. Brannon was a pastor at Saddleback Church before moving to Northern California where he now serves as a Teaching Pastor at Bayside Church and recently released a new album titled The Attic under his musical artist name, BShortt. In this conversation, Brannon and Jason talk about the power of story and how we can share our faith in many different ways.

    MEMORABLE MOMENTS

“When conveying a message in a book or on-stage, it’s important to distill your messaging to avoid confusing your audience.”

“Having a target audience in mind as you’re writing a book completely alters the way you show up with your messaging and effectively tell your story.”

    478. Hamud el contador de historias

Y a mediada

    65 - "Magic Not Included" - Legends

Sometimes incredible, true stories get passed around like wild fire. They grow and flourish to heroic proportions turning what once might have been true into a fantastical legend. Incredible, yes, but even though they might be founded in truth, it can become nearly impossible to know what part of the legend is fact and what is fiction.

Legends can inspire your character to grow! Sometimes all your character needs a great story to help them find the courage to to act. Join Michael and Robbie as we discuss legends and how we can apply them to make epic adventures for our characters to learn from.
