We're back with an interstitial. Apologies for the missed flight, but alas both of us fell ill back to back making any attempt at recording an episode a nightmare. That aside though we're both feeling better now and are here to talk about a few different things, almost all of which seemed to touch at least a little upon fandoms making things weird, bad, toxic, or some combination of all three.

    S4 E05 - Time's Puckered Arsehole

    S4 E05 - Time's Puckered Arsehole

It wouldn't be a series of Too Hot For TV without the On The Timelash boys. Join Dylan, Mark and Ben as they explore the best and worst that Scotland has to offer when it comes to Doctor Who.

First up it's the tenth doctor and Martha novel 'The Many Hands' by Dale Smith. Then it's the Lady Christina audio 'Death on the Mile' by Donald McLeary. As always we answer the bring questions:

How many is too many cocks?
Who is reading the script on their lunch break?
What is the worst thing John Barrowman has ever done?

Doctor Who Rewatch | The Sontaran Stratagem/ Poison Sky

Doctor Who Rewatch | The Sontaran Stratagem/ Poison Sky

    Sontar-ha!

This week, the leaders of the Sontar to Sontar battle fleet join us to introduce this episode...before failing miserably at it. Something to do with chocolate perhaps?

As you may have guessed, this episode looks back at the Tenth Doctor two parter The Sontaran Stratagem and The Poison Sky.

We recently ran a poll which listed some of our favourite Tenth Doctor episodes and the winning vote would be rewatched and discussed by us, and our listeners via comments.

However, we sacked off this poll once the sad news of Bernard Cribbins passing reached us and we used our powers as executive producers to pick these episodes to be the rewatched ones, so we could, in our own little way, pay tribute to the great Mr Cribbins.

So, join us as we tackle this earthbound epic which features the revived series' first appearance of our potato-headed favourites, brings Martha back to the show for the first time since...um...the last series ended actually, returns UNIT to our screens and gives us some great Donna and Wilf moments.

    Let's go!

Oh! And stay tuned for another Sontaran appearance at the end of the episode…!

Doctor Who Interview | Rona Munro and James Moran

Doctor Who Interview | Rona Munro and James Moran

Just in time for the release of the latest Doctor Who Target Novels from BBC Books, we're joined by legendary Who writers Rona Munro and James Moran!

Rona's name is familiar to many fans as the writer of the final Classic episode broadcast - Survival. She returned to the show in the Moffat years to write Eaters of Light for the Twelfth Doctor and Bill. This story is the one targeted for novelisation... get it?

James was writing for Torchwood season two when he achieved his dream to write for Doctor Who, and we learn exactly how that came about. The Fires of Pompeii immediately established itself as a firm fan favourite and was vital in Donna Noble's development into the beloved character she became. This story was also targeted... can we use this joke again? No? Ok.

We talk to both writers about their love of Doctor Who, their career beginnings, theatre writing with Rona and short films and features with James. We discuss their scripts in depth, where the ideas came from, what it was like collaborating with the showrunners and we ask what's next for them and what they'd like to do in the Whoniverse in the future...

...plus we are very lucky to be serenaded by James' young daughter during our chat too!

This week, I'm joined by Sanjay Lago (http://www.themomentpod.com/guests/sanjay-lago), to discuss a moment from 2008's Journey's End, the finale of series four, David Tennant's third and final full season as the Doctor. We talk about the culmination of four years of Doctor Who storytelling, how Doctor Who got Sanjay through hard times, and what such a scene of togetherness can mean to us now during a long period of isolation. 13: The Essential Doctor Who, To Get Into Who

in this episode the Chris and I each pick out 6 Doctor Who episodes that we feel like a person who is not a fan of Doctor Who, could watch and become a fan or Whovian. We express our love for The Doctor and take some time to talk about how we became Whovians ourselves. We hope to spread the word and get people who might not be into Doctor Who to give it a chance, with these insightful episodes that we picked out.
