    Christian Finnegan, Pizza Rats

    Christian Finnegan, Pizza Rats

Do all comedians talk about Massachusetts pizza? They do on the Pizza Pod Party! Our guest is stand-up comic Christian Finnegan. We have pizza news. And the pizza topic is: "Pizza and BABYsitting."

Christian Finnegan is a longtime standup you have seen on VH1’s Best Week Ever, Chappelle's Show, The Jim Gaffigan Show, Conan, The Late Late Show, Good Morning America and The Today Show. Check out his specials: “Two for Flinching,” “Au Contraire!,” “The Fun Part,” and “60% Joking.” His most recent special, “Show Your Work," is on Amazon Prime. You can see Christian working with his wife, Kambri Crews, who owns Q.E.D. in Queens. Subscribe to his newsletter, New Music for Olds.

Christian discusses working at local pizza joints in suburban Boston, rat interactions in New York City pizzerias, and why he roots for the Knicks even though he should probably be a Celtics fan.

    Microsoft vs. The World

    Microsoft vs. The World

One of the Gent's favorite hobbies to engage with on the internet is combing their favorite social media platforms for outrageous headlines, including debunking the idea that Tom Brady and Kim Kardashian were rumored to be dating (2:00), after attending Michael Rubin's all-white party held earlier this summer. EstoBro and TV are feeling really good taking the podcast in the direction that organizes the show's discussion points and focusing on one genre they are passionate about; this week's topic is video games. TV is shouting on the mountaintops that Chez EstoBro has finally indulged in the first-person shooter called Call of Duty, one of the best-selling franchises ever (18:05). The primary reason why EstoBro's curiosity is piqued is due to the breaking news that Microsoft's major purchase of Blizzard-Activision is finally 'all systems go' after DOJ ruled in favor of the tech giant's case against the FTC (26:00). The Gents echo the news when it first broke on the podcast a little over a year ago, and share what this means for the future of gaming plus how it would impact Microsoft's competitors in the gaming industry. After deep discussion on the topic, the Gents cannot dismiss this crazy news that features the No Jumper podcast host Adam22 and his porn star wife Lena the Plug filming a controversial video with Jason Luv (54:00). With sex positivity at an all-time high in the decade 2020, the untraditional normality of an open relationship between two adult film stars is really no one's business to judgment from anyone. It is clear that sex still sells when it comes to advertising, and it is definitely dissected even further on this week's episode of the EstoBro TV Podcast.

    S07E01: Yours, Mine & Ours
Welcome to the (really) long-awaited seventh season of Quaid In Full -- and to the chaotic, unrealistic, and utterly Nickelodeon Yours, Mine & Ours. Critics in week-before-Thanksgiving mode weren't terribly charitable to this 2005 remake of the Ball/Fonda original, but despite the first film's cultural anxieties not really translating to the 21st century; beleaguered stunt pets; Chekhov's sailboat; an utter lack of clean-up or food-logistics credibility; as many family-film tropes as bad child actors; and the horror of a child going to town on a pile of gummi worms like he's Clemenza in a Godfather restaurant scene, for what it is, it's fine. But is Dennis Quaid fine for what he's asked to do? Climb into a rowboat full of stuffies and read the depositions in the matter of Aggrieved Hamster v. Sherwin-Williams: it's an all-new Quaid In Full. 019: I Think This Whole Santa Tradition is Overrated

019: I Think This Whole Santa Tradition is Overrated
It's our last podcast of 2022! So to celebrate the holidays, we focus on Christmas this episode. Despite striking out at Halloween and Thanksgiving, we give the holidays another shot and take a look to see if Brooke McEldowney has anything joyful or celebratory to say about Christmas. The answer is, of course, mostly no. We're exposed to a very weird "pickle leg," an inappropriately sexy ballet Santa, Edda's sexy knees, and there's even a fun Hitchcockian cameo from McEldowney himself. By "fun," we mean very, very confusing. Ultimately, Amos and Edda show us they have some serious Santa cosplay kink that they can't resist the gravitational pull of, even when their bedraggled-looking twins are nearby. Our exploration ends with McEldowney saying (through Edda) "God bless cartoonists." Because of course he does. It's just like the end of** A Christmas Carol**, only if Dickens was a pompous asshole. Which is our way of saying, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! We'll see you in 2023! A Very Brady Backstory & Success Story featuring Christopher Knight

A Very Brady Backstory & Success Story featuring Christopher Knight

Acting was never Christopher Knight’s idea. It was the family business and he began auditioning at the age of seven and landing commercials and TV guest spots before a man named Schwartz booked him to play Peter Brady. It turns out that being a Brady is a lifetime assignment. Chris has learned to embrace it and use the force for good, becoming a successful tech pioneer, businessman and entrepreneur. Chris understands that the Brady name gets you in the door. But from there, he feels a responsibility to make the family proud. In other words, don’t break a vase. Chris joins us with some Brady insights.

In this introductory episode, host Ash Seiter discusses the genesis and premise of the show and introduces his father, Jimmi Seiter

Jimmi had a long career in the music business from 1966 to 1983 as a musician, roadie, road manager, manager, engineer and producer.

He worked with a long list of different artists and producers during his career, including The Byrds, The Flying Burrito Bros, Flo & Eddie, The Runaways, David Cassidy, Rocky Burnette, Terry Melcher, Kim Fowley, Brian Wilson, Dobie Gray, Gram Parsons, Jim Morrison, Alice Cooper, and many others.

Jimmi's experiences, stories and commentary on events he was directly involved in are the core of this show.  A firsthand take from someone who was actually there for arguably the most consequential time in modern music history with some of the most influential artists of the day.

“I Am Norman Bates!” (What Are We Doing?) - The Word Docs

What have we been doing this year? Other than teaching through lockdown, eating too much chocolate, drinking moscato, and yapping away on this podcast... In this episode we get to catch up on the Word Docs' latest projects, which involve a theatre/film project which is not a porno (but does feature a dominatrix), music made in the Hall of Possibility, and more pseudonyms for the woman who has everything. What other writers do you know who can get kidnapped by pirates on their way to a writing gig? Like, for real. Not in their imaginations. And what other academics do you know who are willing to dish the dirt on what it's really like to be a working writer? Fine, lots of them. But how many of them also make ambient music? One. Sean. Well done, Sean. He's reason enough to listen to this podcast - especially if you're smart enough to listen all the way to the end.

TV’s First Blended Family - Susan Olsen, Mike Lookinland, “Cindy” & “Bobby”, The Brady Bunch

TV’s First Blended Family - Susan Olsen, Mike Lookinland, “Cindy” & “Bobby”, The Brady Bunch

In 1969 The Brady Bunch was the first TV Show to feature a blended family of 3 boys and 3 girls that despite not being related were always kind, loving, and supportive of each other. Fifty years later, the show remains popular in replay and recently had a resurge due to #The Property Brothers making-over the family home. Seems like many of us wished we formed a similar group, growing-up. But was it really like that? In this Janette’s TV episode, Janette talks with actors Susan Olsen (“Cindy”) and Mike Lookinland (“Bobby”) about the plus and minuses of playing the two youngest Brady’s, what really went on behind the scenes, and what they learned from their TV parents, veteran actors #Florence Henderson (“Carol”) and Robert Reed (“Mike”) Brady.
