Psalm 23 - The Lord is my Shepherd
This inspirational Psalm reveals the goodness of the Lord. As we submit to the lord and our Leader and Owner and listen to Him and stay close to Him, He will protect us and lead us into all His covenant provisions. Derek shows how all 8 of the Covenant Names of God are represented in the Psalm. When Jesus said: "I am the Good Shepherd" in John 10, He was claiming to be the fulfilment of Psalm 23. Having died on the Cross (Psalm 22) the risen Lord now leads us into every blessing that He has purchased with His blood (Psalm 23), as we stay close to Him and keep our eyes on Him. this is a great Psalm to declare out loud.

Today’s Devotional….The Lord Is My Shepherd
“The Lord Is My shepherd;” that one phase from the 23rd Psalm answers the question posed by all of us at one time or another of Who God Is?
God is a shepherd, who will not fly His migrant children out of his state to score political point. God is a shepherd who would use the surplus in his state’s budget to pay teachers, police officers and firefighters a living salary. God is a shepherd who expand Medicare instead of sticking his head in the sand as Atlanta the 39th largest city in the country in down to only one Trauma level one hospital.
God is a shepherd that we can depend on. Psalm 23 tells us with confidents that I will not lack, I will not fear and that I will dwell forever with the Lord.”
God is our shepherd that is who God is. Join us tomorrow at Greater Bethel as we study Psalm 23 in a teaching entitled “Who is God?”
