The X-Files saison 6 : Toute la Vérité (partie 1/2)

January 11, 1994: The First X-Files Fanfiction Is Posted

We want to believe! In the second week of January, we're heading back thirty years (woof) to ye olde Web 1.0 and the very first online X-Files fanfiction. But to our surprise, it wasn't just an X-Files fic! Join V and Emily as they get to explore a whole new-to-them fandom as they learn about cult fave Forever Knight, talk alt-net servers and e-mail lists, and read the cutest author's note in fandom history. Are you MSR or NoRomo? More importantly, are you a Friend Of Don?

X Files' Terms of Endearment: Demon Fetal Harvest

X Files' Terms of Endearment: Demon Fetal Harvest

Maddie and Charlie join Caitlin for an extra special episode. We tackle the X Files' spin on monstrous motherhood in "Terms of Endearment." That's episode 7 of season 6, if you'd like to watch before listening. We examine the monstrous feminine beats of this particular episode, and we do a deep dive on the X Files as a whole: favorite episodes, skips, FMKs, and how Gillian Anderson plays "dignified but horny" in all her roles. (That's a compliment; we deeply appreciate her craft.) We'll be back to movies next week, but we hope you enjoy this special episode!

David Duchovny: Some lessons take years to sink in

David Duchovny: Some lessons take years to sink in

Before his rise to fame, David Duchovny is a popular kid – charming, funny, bright and athletic, beloved by friends and teachers alike. But there’s one teacher who puts David off-balance, calling him out for foolishness where others see charm. Years after graduation, struggling to make it as an actor in Hollywood, David finally comes to recognize that what he mistook for dislike was in fact an encouragement to go his own way, in his own time.
