    Disclaimer

"As with any discussion concerning men's mental health, masculinity, and men's issues within the social environment, it is important to acknowledge that these discussions do not reflect anti-women sentiments. I personally believe that any parent who raises a boy and girl would not put down their son in order to raise their daughter. As a good parent would raise both a son and a daughter equally, society has a responsibility to help both men and women and not to displace or disadvantage men over women. I believe that it is important to advocate for women's rights while still advocating for helping men and improving men's mental health. Most topics I discussed have been vetted through consulting with female colleagues, clinical psychologists, clinical social workers, lawyers, and female therapists who understand the big picture issues for both men and women in society and mental health. My views and opinions are intended to spotlight the ailments of society and the issues of boys and men and are not intended for clinical diagnosis and do not constitute therapeutic advice. Please consult your healthcare provider about treatment options that are available." ~ DPDavid

Welcome to 15 minute free thinking. My name is Carpo,  and my podcasts are  intended to serve as a learning tool for myself and others, as well as a bridge for communication between a society I see as having more potential than we are allowing ourselves to use. We are all just people, living as best we can, and I feel good dialogue can really help us lead better lives.

If you are interested in joining the discussion, visit me on Youtube, discord, or patreon, of which I will have more information about at the end of the podcast.

I appreciate you taking the time to listen, wherever you may be, and I hope you enjoy the show.

Many of these ideas are merely my own opinions. Any mention of substance use or my experiences should not be taken as advice, as what works for me may not work for you. Each of us is unique. I'm just some dude on the internet. But I am a dude that cares about the Truth. And I can admit when I do not know, and more importantly, when I am wrong.

I am just here learning like the rest of you all and want to share my experiences.

I try to stick to the facts where possible, but that is not always easy when we speak of complex matters, so I may make mistakes, but always try my best to present accurate, honest information to the best of my ability.

That said a lot of it may be conjecture and my own opinion.... and as I learn, I adjust my list of facts, so feel free to point out wherever I may be lacking, or have the wrong information.

So with that out of the way, let's get into it.

Empowered Conversation s w/Sexual Abuse Survivor, Author, Life & Career Coach, Jean Dorff!!

Empowered Conversation s w/Sexual Abuse Survivor, Author, Life & Career Coach, Jean Dorff!!

I am So Excited to be speaking with my next guest on Empowered Conversations, Jean Dorff!

Jean is a personal life and career coach and a best selling author of, “Broken Silence, Living with Passion and Purpose after Sexual Abuse!”

He is also the cofounder of, "A Dancer's Movement to Stop Sexual Abuse."

Jean has been a successful international martial arts competitor and ballroom dancer. He developed an interest in movement at an early age, exploring the concept of “conscious movement,” a term he developed to describe a connection of rhythm and movement with mind, body, and soul.

Even more than his professional background, it was his personal ordeals that gave him the drive to empower people to overcome their negative experiences and live the life they want.

Jean is a victim of sexual abuse and domestic violence himself. Jean pledged to fight the battle against sexual abuse and domestic violence and made it his personal mission to demonstrate how he became (as he calls it) “unbroken” and help others. “I’m unbroken; let me unbreak you” is his motto.

Irene Martens is a Texas Born Latin ballroom dancer and instructor, and the cofounder of the nonprofit organization, A Dancers Movement To Stop Sexual Abuse.  ADMTSS, is a nonprofit to raise awareness, support and empower victims and educate people about sexual abuse and domestic violence.

    Empowered Conversations S.E.X.ual edition!

    Empowered Conversations S.E.X.ual edition!

Why is there so much shame around the Very Thing that brings us into existence?! 🤷‍♀‍

Why is there so much shame around masturbation
and self-pleasure... or at least for women?!🤷‍♀‍

Why are males promoted to engage in as much sexual activity and with as many females as they can possible get a hold of, while females are slut shamed for wanting sex AND are encouraged to keep their partners to a very minimum?!🤷‍♀‍

Why is the topic of S.E.X. in general such a taboo subject?!🤷‍♀‍

Join me and my Very Special Guest, Siobhan Coates as we discuss these very controversial subjects in a Raw and Real manner!

Siobhan Coates is finally getting out of her own way on the trail she is creating for herself. Tired of living other people's passions, Siobhan's pursuit of “Siobhan” began fulltime at 55years old.

Through Storytelling, Speaking, Laughter Yoga, Cooking and Comedy, Siobhan's mission is to bring laughter, JOY and fun to the world while not shying away from controversial topics such as abuse, sexual shame, addiction and mental illness.

Having recently delved into her own sexual shame, she is ready to talk about it... AND laugh about it!

Siobhan is a student of bringing taboo subjects and traumas of the past together with standup comedy and storytelling.

She is a Certified Life Coach, The "Fun Coach", helping her clients remove their limiting beliefs around health, wellness, and FUN!

    Her mantra is, "Enough Already!!!"

This Loud Talker states- "Let's rip the MF band aid off it all and have some fun doing it!"
I as well will be sharing some of my previous, "made to feel shame" experiences and what transpired for me that permanently cut that cord!

If you are offended in the least by explicit sexual content and two women using frank language around the subject of S.E.X. this may be an episode that you need to either avoid… OR listen!

We both speak all about how we were raised to be ashamed of our bodies, sex and literally anything sexual.
For myself, it was through organized religion. For Siobhan it was through an alcoholic mother.

I share thee story which sent me to the bible looking for truth, only to find a MUCH BIGGER TRUTH!
