    Focus on Thailand --The Revolution Continues

    As part of our continuing series focusing on golf around the world, and women's professional golf in particular, this episode looks at the Emergence of Thailand as a rising golf powerhouse.
     
    Joining us in this episode are special guests, Pajaree Anannarukarn and Pinyada Kuvanun.
    They chat with us about their year in golf, some of the challenges and accomplishments of this past year, and they discuss their experiences in growing up in Thailand learning to play golf and how their individual paths to the world of professional golf.

     Pajaree currently plays on the LPGA, the world's premier tour for women's golf.  She is a recent winner of the 2021 ISPS Handa Invitational event - a mixed event with men and women competing on the same course at the same time.  The event is hosted by Niall Horan, of One Direction (boy's band) in his native Northern Ireland.   At the time of recording Pajaree is ranked No. 71 in the Rolex World Rankings.

    Pinyada is a recent graduate from the University of Toledo with a degree in International Business.  Competing in Division 1 of the NCAA, Pinyada led her team to the MAC Conference Championships, where she had a personal best of 3rd place.  She also won twice at the collegiate level and finished 3rd at the Lady Buckeyes Invitational.  She currently competes on the Thai LPGA and competed recently at Stage 2 of Q-School, earning privileges for the Symetra Tour in 2022.

    Coach Justin Ingrams’ Story: 
    In this episode, you'll hear from Coach Justin Ingram. Justin is currently an Assistant Coach for Tod Kowalczyk at the University of Toledo. Justin is the son of a coach and coaching the game of basketball has been in his heart since he was a young boy. His dad, Mike Ingram, has been Lansing Community College’s head coach for 30+ years. He is Justin’s favorite coach of all time and has made a lasting impact on Justin. Justin is constantly working hard for Coach Tod, his co-workers, and players. You will appreciate the amount of LOYALTY Justin has to his boss. As a former tremendous player at Toledo, Justin believes that Toledo is where he became a man. He is passing this mindset on to the current players. Justin is an energetic young assistant coach and the amount of energy that Justin displays on this Podcast will jump right into your living room or car!     E61: Heidi Burkhart- A Force to be reckoned with

    Heidi Burkhart is the President and Founder of Dane Real Estate (“Dane”). Ms. Burkhart formed Dane, the affordable housing real estate brokerage, in 2008 when she was 26. Dane is the only woman-owned and operated brokerage in NYC, and a respected brand nationwide in affordable housing. Today the company has facilitated closings in excess of 20,000 affordable housing units and over $2.5 billion in transactions. Dane has had tremendous success rehabilitating properties nationwide but focuses heavily on the NYC area, such as properties in the Bronx, Brooklyn, Staten Island and New Jersey. Most notably Ms. Burkhart brokered one of the first preservation projects in the nation utilizing the Rental Assistance Demonstration (RAD) program, which included the issuance of a new 20-year, Section 8 Project-Based Rental Assistance (PBRA) contract. Ms. Burkhart has used her business success as a platform for affordable housing and economic development. She has contributed to publications including Real Estate Weekly, The New York Real Estate Journal, The Real Deal, Brick Underground, City and State, City Limits and Chief Executive to champion the need for affordable housing, address the state of the industry and speak to its future. She is also a frequent guest on BronxNet TV and a contributor for The Huffington Post. Throughout her career Ms. Burkhart has won numerous awards for her business, civic and charitable endeavors. Ms. Burkhart was awarded the 2016 Entrepreneur of the Year award at The Stevie Awards for Women in Business. She also received The 2016 Golden Bridge Award-Silver Winner Best Entrepreneur/Founder Woman. She received the ISPA Innovator Award 2014 for the “#BlankCancer” program she created to bring a louder voice, their own voice, to the fight against cancer. In 2013 she was selected as one of Affordable Housing Finance’s Rising Star’s. Ms. Burkhart graduated from the University of Toledo with a BS in business.
