The Laura Macke Disappearance - Olympic National Forest

Laura Macke, a 35 year old female, set out on an approximately 12.7 mile hike from the Graves Creek Campground and Trailhead to the Enchanted Valley inside the Daniel J. Evans Wilderness in the Olympic National Forest of Washington State.
A torrential downpour inundated the area soon after Laura began her trek and she was never seen or heard from again.

If you know anything about Laura's disappearance please contact the Clallam County Sheriff's Office or National Forest Service.
Please keep Laura and her family in your thoughts, and as always, if you find yourself in the Daniel J. Evans Wilderness, please remain vigilant. You never know when you may come across something that brings answers or closure to a grieving family.

Missing Persons Behavior: Toddlers (1-3 years old)

In this week's episode, Tanner takes listeners on a journey into understanding how Toddlers, ages 1-3 years old, that become lost in the wilderness behave. All of the information shared in today's podcast comes from Tanner's own Search and Rescue training accompanied with statistics from the last 50 years of Search and Rescue efforts around the world.
This topic is not easy to listen to, it's also not easy to research or discuss, but the information shared in this week's episode is important to know and understand.
Tanner wishes he could go more in-depth on the topic, but there's just not enough time in the day to discuss everything that comes along with missing persons cases, especially that of missing toddlers.

The James "Jake" Dutton Case

James "Jake" Dutton, 5'10" tall, 180lb, 31 year old former Coast Guardsman parked his 1998 Nissan pickup truck near the Cougar Reservoir on June 15th, 2012 and headed up the French Pete Trail towards the Three Sisters Wilderness in the Oregon Cascade Mountain Range.
Jake was never seen or heard from again.

There is unfortunately no clothing description for Jake and his Missing Persons case has been removed from nearly every database in the area due to Law Enforcement rushing to conclusions about a body that was recovered in the area a few years after Jake's disappearance.
While some news reports will state that Jake's body was recovered, the State Medical Examiner for Oregon at the time, realized six months after the body was recovered that it was not that of Jake Dutton.

Maha Shamshan: The Manikarnika Ghat

Have you heard of Mahashamshan, also called Manikarnika, the burning ghat where souls find moksha in flames? Mahashamshan, where fires never rest, offers eternal peace to souls throughout countless days and nights. Rajiv, a student from BHU Medical College, went to Assi Ghat for food. It was strangely quiet, not a single person around; all 84 ghats were silent. He strolled to Dashashwamedha Ghat, then to Manikarnika, where only one body was burning, and everything magically vanished. As he turned, a voice pleaded for Ganga water. Abbie Flynn - Completely Gone

Abbie Flynn was so excited to host her friends for a Super Bowl party on February 2, 2020. Her guests were set to arrive at 6:00 pm, but as they entered her home, Abbie wasn't there. Food was in the oven. Her car keys and phone were on the counter. Even her little doggie was inside the house. But Abbie was gone. Despite a massive search throughout the local area, not one person, law enforcement or otherwise, could find any trace of Abbie. And that's where we stand today. In this episode, we explore the reports, the evidence, and most importantly, the inconsistencies to see if we can't work out a theory about what may have happened to Abbie.
