Prison visits from relatives have proven to have a positive effect on the prisoner, both in jail and upon release. Keeping these connections may hold the key to seeing those incarcerated become less likely to reoffend in the future.

But the visiting process can be fraught according to research from LaTrobe University school of Criminology.

Matt Reeves, director of Cloverfield and The Batman, joins the Planet of the Apes franchise with this 2014 installment. Dawn of the Planet of the Apes is without a doubt a new highpoint for the series. The amazing Andy Serkis returns as Caesar, with Toby Kebbell joining as the villainous ape Koba. A bevy of wonderful human actors also appear in this production, including Jason Clarke, Keri Russell, and Gary Oldman. The Visitors have almost nothing but praise for this movie, which goes even further than the previous film in reinvigorating this franchise for the 21st century. Peter talks with Debbie and Josie about growing up on Flinders Island, going mutton birding with his father and his purchase of the figurehead of the Farsund, shipwrecked in Bass Strait.
Peter's love of maritime history has led him to develop plans for a Furneaux Maritime History Centre to tell the stories of the region's rich maritime history.
Peter sees Flinders' ideal visitor as the sort of person you might want to invite to stay, not someone who wants to be entertained. They may even help with the washing up!

Silent film producing audio when converted to a digital format, disembodied arms attached to an nondescript object, lesions appearing in photos that aren't actually on the subject, clock-like patterns that stretch between frames of film and photo, and occupants from another world trapped between the frames of footage of orbs of light dancing around each other... Stella Lansing experienced many strange things in her lifetime and was wise enough to try and document every occurrence through photo and film that she could. While Stella Lansing hasn't been heavily researched, we do have a small window of details into her findings thanks to the 90's TV series "Sightings" and various works published by Psychiatrist and UFO / paranormal enthusiast Berthold E. Schwarz. Listen in as we discuss these wonderful documentations by a Massachusetts nurse turned house wife.

Blind Hog and Acorn recorded their podcast a day early but did not realize that the computer was having technical issues- the recording had gaps, much like hiccups.  Acorn did not feel like doing a 2 hr edit on a 35 min podcast and promises this will not happen again.
