Proven Strategies to Win Back Your Child with Laine on the 700 Club

Proven Strategies to Win Back Your Child with Laine on the 700 Club

This week, I had the priviledge of being interviewed by The 700 Club on The Christian Broadcasting Network. I spoke about how your child can fall into the struggles of rebellion and addiction, why it seems like children are becoming rebellious at a younger and younger age, and how creating a proper battle plan can help win back your prodigal.

I explain how to partner parents with God. You can safely hand over control of your children to God. Realizing that our children are God's creation and they belong to Him, we can release them into God’s care. By giving God full ownership of our prodigals and continuing in a partnership as parents, we are putting our assured victory directly in God’s hands.

Things We Talk About in this Episode:

    • How do we fight against the sin that is holding our child back without going to war with our child themselves?
    • Why is it so important that you as a parent pray for your child? How can we learn to pray properly for our children in the midst of their battles?
    • What is the best battle plan we can create as parents to help fight for our prodigals? How can The Parent's Battle Plan: Warfare Strategies to Win Back Your Prodigal help?

God When Will You Answer Me? With Lisa Olsteen Comes

God When Will You Answer Me? With Lisa Olsteen Comes

Prayer is one of the most powerful tools we can use as Christians. However, sometimes it can seem like God isn't quite answering prayers in the ways we expect. Other times we ask "When will God answer my prayers?"

That is why I am so excited to have Lisa Olsteen Comes as my guest on today's episode of The Warfare Parenting Podcast. Lisa shares her stories of raising her children and praying over them as they grew up. She also explains how God's timing for blessings can be different than our own timing and answers the question "When can I get an answer from God?"

Lisa also endorses the power of my new book, The Parent's Battle Plan: Warfare Strategies to Win Back Your Prodigal, and how it can be a vital tool for parents raising their children, especially if they are in the midst of being a prodigal.

Lisa’s passion for God’s Word and love for people radiate in her practical, yet insightful messages. Lisa is a graduate of Oral Roberts University. Very Personal to You, My Son’s Story of Darkness Delivered Part 2

Very Personal to You, My Son’s Story of Darkness Delivered Part 2

In last week's episode, I had my eldest son, Steven, on to discuss his story of his deliverance from darkness. This week, I am delighted to have Steven back with his wonderful wife, Madison, to share how she met Steven at the lowest point in their lives, and how they both experienced rebirth through Christ.

Madison explains how after a few years in spiritual warfare with the struggles of addiction, both she and Steven had the veil begin to lift from their eyes, and they saw God begin to work miracles in both of their hearts. She then talks about marrying Steven and the conscious change they both have made as a couple moving forward into the future.

This is a featured story from Laine’s new book, The Parent's Battle Plan: Warfare Strategies to Win Back Your Prodigal, releasing March 14, 2023. Pre-order yours today at the link here! www.amazon.com/Parents-Battle-Plan-Strategies-Prodigal

"I've formed many exclusive partnerships across the board in both the P&C and Life & Health markets to offer my clientele the best carriers, products and services available in the insurance industry. This, coupled with faith and the core Christian values of the company, is what makes Lucleon Insurance the success that it is and continues to be. Many people today work by methods, algorithms, etc. I believe in working by principles, hard work and all in faith." -Steven H. Craft, Jr.

Things We Talk About in this Episode:

    • How can teens or young adults look like they have it "all together" but still struggle with major addictions like pornography or drug use?

Very Personal to You, My Son’s Story of Darkness Delivered

Very Personal to You, My Son’s Story of Darkness Delivered

I often like to say the enemy looks for cracks in our lives, small weaknesses or temptations that he can slip into to open us up to sin and temptation. It can become a full on spiritual war for your life, and often times, you don't know how you will find deliverance from the darkness. That is why I am so blessed to have my son, Steven H. Craft, Jr., as today's guest.

Steven shares the story of his battle in darkness with exposure to pornography. Over many years, he struggled with these spirits of lust and feelings of inadequacy. He began to turn to alcohol and drugs as a source of "happiness", only to find the feelings of anxiety grow. However, as he explains in this episode, his story does not end in the darkness, but speaks to rebirth and deliverance through the power of Jesus.

    • Why is teaching your child to pray and praying over your child so important when they are facing spiritual warfare?
    • What is spiritual intervention and why is it the most critical tool to equip your child with?

Your Prodigal Child Doesn't Have to Ruin Your Life

Your Prodigal Child Doesn't Have to Ruin Your Life

What does it mean to live well and fully? To see rebirth in your child's struggle with addiction and to feel that recovery for yourself as a parent? That's exactly what our guest, Barbara Decker, shares with us on today's episode. Barbara shares her own story about her son Eric's battle with addiction. Desperate for help, she pleaded with a behavioral therapist to assist her son. What he told her completely changed how she approached her son’s addiction: “There’s nothing you can do that will help your son. Only he can choose recovery.”

After this realization, Barbara began looking inward and working to improve herself. While this seemed counterproductive at first, she discovered that these changes in her own life created a positive change in Eric's as well. Barbara is now proud to say that Eric has now been sober for almost five years with no relapses. Now Barbara wants to break down her process and explain why a prodigal child doesn't have to affect a parent's life in a negative way, but rather can be an opportunity for self growth that leaves lasting results for them and their family.

    Who is Barbara Decker?

Barbara Decker is a Certified Family Recovery Specialist and founder of Live Well and Fully. Her Love Another Way Program has helped parents support their children through addiction-based challenges. Barbara’s Transformative Boundaries helps the mother-child relationship thrive, and parents learn the best ways to interact with, support, and encourage their adult children to overcome their addiction-based challenges. Her efforts have helped families restore peace in their homes and in their minds. The heartwarming testimonials the program receives are part of the reason why she wants to share her program far and wide.

Things We Talk About in this Episode:

    • Why is it important for parents to also focus on themselves when they want to help a child struggling with addiction?
    • What does Live Well and Fully offer for parents of children walking through addiction?
    • Why are healthy boundaries important for parents?
