CTC Pod Squad Binging on the Curve the Cube Podcast

What starts with a bunch of randomness involving a bushel-full of presents from our Scotty Fusion morphs into a CTC Pod Squad episode about one thing we do best: binge!!

From Orphan Black and Breaking Bad to a minutes-long dissertation from Jay on the wonder that was Lou Ferrigno as the Incredible Hulk, the Pod Squad delivers laughs on the shows we love to binge watch. But, we don’t stop there. (What kind of binge session would THAT be?) We also talk about going hard on food and other delightful things.

    Zone 4 #264: Pulptastic!

The crew returns with a special all-pulp episode! Sadly, John was absent due to being carried off into the jungle by Grodd, Congorilla and Bleep for a birthday party (John likes monkeys), and he contracted some gorilla flu. But the rest of the crew pressed on.

First up, Captain Ron filled us in on his adventures at PulpFest 2013 with some special contemporary shout-outs.

Then, the guys covered two pulp inspired comics written by Mark Waid: The Rocketeer/The Spirit: Pulp Friction #1, and Green Hornet #4.

And for the main topic, it was all about the BBC/PBS Sherlock television series starring Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman.

And there are new shout-outs this week! Plus some plugs.

So strap on your housecoat, sit back in your cozy leather chair, and gear up for some all pulp fun. It's time to enter the Zone!

Watching 'Round the Cross Pt 2

Watching 'Round the Cross Pt 2

Matthew 27: 45-56 What we witness in this life will one day witness against us! Or 'for us', depending on how we've responded; for none of us are 'passive' observers. What happens in this life draws a line in the sand, and we, as we respond, place ourselves on one side or the other. That is especially true of the Cross.

Part 2 of Pastor Rod Schorr's message from the series on the Gospel of Matthew: "The Rise of the Servant King".

    Watching for Wolves p1

Being Vigilant in the  age of deception.

    Watching for Wolves

"Wtch out for false prophets...inwardly they are ferocious wolves." Mt 7:15

Our sinful, fallen world is having a love affair with falsehood! the people of God have never been free from the struggle to hold on to the truth. So we shouldn't be surprised when Jesus warns us to watch out: "be on your guard against false prophets...for inwardly they are ferocious wolves."

    Young Jeezy Streets Still Watching

    Young Jeezy Streets Still Watching
Artist: Young Jeezy Album: Streets Still Watching Young Jeezy an already successful Hip Hop artist has released the Streets Still Watching mix tape to feed his diehard fans hunger. The album open up with “Pocket full of Money”, a fast pace track with fast paced rapping, you’ll find yourself reciting the words to this song in no time. We must warn you this is gangster rap…more of a cultural approach, not really endorsing violence. In other word it’s pure fun. We can’t wait for Young Jeezy’s next album, and we would like to wish him continued success throughout his music career.
