Faith That Works Part 2 - Generous Wisdom (James 1:5-8)

Making wise decisions, especially under difficult circumstances, is no small challenge. Living a normal Christian life in the face of temptations and trials demands wisdom! So how do we acquire wisdom? Thankfully we don't have to do it on our own. James encourages us to go right to the source. God wants us to ask for wisdom and he will gladly give it! So, how then does He want us to ask? With our faith in Him we are to ask confidently, believing that when we ask for wisdom He will give it to us. We should also ask wholeheartedly, not doubting, with undivided loyalty to God.

Love Me In the Waiting | Enneagram Type Two Krystal Ribble

Love Me In the Waiting | Enneagram Type Two Krystal Ribble

We are ALL waiting for something. Some of us are in a longer holding pattern than others, but I think most of us can raise a hand, signifying that we are waiting on or for something. Maybe you are waiting for a simple answer to prayer, or perhaps a severe health crisis that you are hoping to pass, a longing to be loved or to be free of something you thought you loved.

Krystal Ribble knows some things about what it looks like to live and want to be loved well in various waiting seasons. She’s written a book, Love Me in The Waiting; Trusting God's Purpose When You're Longing For What's Next*, even while discovering her son has a brain tumor and having to wait yet again for the healing he needs. Krystal has a few practical application steps you might need to hear today, plus she outlines what we can learn from the life and miracles of Jesus as it relates to waiting. It’s all so good, so we will jump right into the Enneagram conversation and how it relates to Krystal’s stage of parenting and the demands of motherhood.

Am I a Writer? | a conversation with Enneagram Eight Carla H. Hayden

Am I a Writer? | a conversation with Enneagram Eight Carla H. Hayden

Get the exclusive Enneagram and writing training with Ian Morgan Cron, right here for FREE!

Have you ever wondered if you should write your story? Or rather, have you wondered if you should publish your story? Maybe it’s a story that weaves the reader through idyllic settings and simplistic relational issues, or perhaps it’s the story you lived to tell about and the reason you have hope.

I know that over 5.5 years ago when I started Simply Wholehearted, I wasn’t sure how to write, publish and share a book, but then I discovered hope*writers. Back in the day, it was just a podcast, and they were opening their doors to a group of wannabe writers who could learn from the experts and sojourn with like-minded friends. Since the hope*writers have become an outstanding community of thousands whose mission is to help you determine where you are on the writing journey and get you to your next path.

Not only are they helping fellow writers like me, but they also were a partner in last month’s Wholehearted Enneagram Summit. The hope*writers team is so amazing to work with. We decided I should record a special episode to conclude the 16th season of the podcast- Today’s conversation is with Carla H. Hayden, Chief Operating Officer of h*w. She also happens to be an Enneagram Eight and incredibly well-versed in Enneagram insight.

This conversation was so good because we chatted about my top 3 fav things, faith, enneagram, and writing. We also tackle the emotional struggle that might be getting in the way of creating the writing rhythm you desire. Carla is your go-to for clarity and the courage boost you might need. I’m fairly confident you will really enjoy this conversation and be excited to have Carla back on the podcast sometime soon!

Here are a few FREE resources from hope*writers to help you! (psst you can get all of them!)
30- second quiz to see what stage you are at as a writer.
10 Questions to ask yourself before you write a book.
If you want to grow an email list, but don't know where to start, here's a template for you.
Ready for a writing challenge? Join the hope*writers challenge this month!

Understanding Enneagram Wings | Moving Forward with Purpose

What are Enneagram wings? And what do they have to do with you?

I mean you aren’t a butterfly or ladybug for goodness sake, right?

Don’t worry, by listening to this episode you won’t suddenly sprout a modified forelimb that bears large feathers and is used for flying.

But, you will learn another insight that will help you get unstuck in those patterns of behavior you don’t love. You may even stop flying in emotional circles and move forward in your relationships, especially as it relates to your mothering style.

This week, I’m going to clarify what Enneagram personality wings are not, what they are and how understanding yours will benefit your role as a mom. As a bonus I’m sharing a brief description of Each Enneagram Type's wing personality.

As we begin to wrap up this season of the podcast so I can do a few live or in person events with you the month of September, I thought this episode would be an awesome way to remind you how the Enneagram can be used as a tool of transformation when we take time to engage with the information. I’m so delighted to be getting emails every day about how you were impacted by the Wholehearted Enneagram Summit. You all are walking away with different insights and favorite sessions which makes me so happy!

That’s why I’ve decided it is time to start offering live zoom calls to take topics that provide transformation and offer it in a format that allows community and an opportunity to give personalize specific advice and prayer. Just like I offer my coaching clients.

Women Who WORSHIP | Three Wholehearted Rhythm Pillars

Women Who WORSHIP | Three Wholehearted Rhythm Pillars

Worship. What does that word mean to you?

Choirs of angels? Church? A great band?

What if I told you the rhythm of worship is so much simpler and yet so much more?

Here are four words to sum up the meaning of worship:

     In everything, give thanks.

Yep, you heard me right. In everything, give thanks.

I’ll explain myself a little more in a minute, but-

Here’s the deal- we need an anchor in times like these and being a woman who worships is critical - no matter what comes your way in 2021. Worship, or giving thanks is the reset you need- whether you are facing fear, discontentment, or frustration. Worship changes the atmosphere- and it begins with you. A heart of worship, not what you can get, but what you give in your heartfelt expression of thanks.

Listen, I know what it’s like to let another year slip by... and realize you’re still not where you want to be in your life.

But, not this year my friend- this 2021 is the year things will change for you. So that’s why this month we are focusing on the three pillars of wholehearted worship and today,  I’m sharing four keys to create a strong rhythm of worship for you, no matter your personality Type!
