In this episode, we are discussing the idea of writing your story. This journey of writing 7 years ago and I could never have imagined it would lead to this place of helping others to learn how to share and write their stories too.
So you have had this dream of becoming a published author but have no clue of where to start? Here are a few tips I wanted to share.
In this episode we discuss:
1) Who is going to benefit from your story? Who are you speaking to? It actually isn’t about us, that was a huge eye opener when I was writing my story.
2) Why are you being called to write? Can you write from a place of integrity about your story? What is being shared, what is off limits, what are the readers' takeaways?
3) What are the turning points in your story. This is where I was, this is what happened, and this is where I am now. Such a simple step process but that’s the general breakdown. You are the hero of your own story and that is what you are being called to share.
4) Are you being called to be a collaborative author or a solo author? I have done both and am sharing some points on both.
