    • Taking a Moment of Silence for Peace and CalmnessIncorporate 30 seconds of silence into your day for peace, calmness, and stress reduction. Try breathing exercises during the silence for added relaxation.

Taking a moment of silence in the midst of a busy day can bring peace and calmness. During a podcast recording in Manchester, the interviewer decided to record 30 seconds of silence, or "wild track," to use later in the edit process. At first, it felt awkward, but soon everyone involved found themselves leaning in and appreciating the quiet. The ladies present even commented that it was the loveliest, most peaceful moment. The interviewer suggested doing breathing exercises during the silence, and they all agreed it was a nice idea. So, when things get hectic, try taking 30 seconds for yourself to enjoy the quiet. This simple act can help reduce stress and bring a sense of calm to your day. Remember, silence is not something to be afraid of or avoided, but rather, an opportunity to recharge and refocus. So, take a deep breath, press pause on the chaos, and give yourself 30 seconds of peace. You deserve it. If you'd like to practice this daily, join Kate Cocker and producer Will on Positivity Island every day at 9 AM Eastern American Time or 2 PM UK time on Back Channel. Setting Teams Up for Success: Awareness and Composition -- S8E33
Dr. Sue Bath, Senior Workplace Consultant at Gallup, was our guest on a recent Called to Coach. Sue shared the vital role of strengths awareness for teams -- that each person understands their own unique talents, along with the talents of others on the team, and how the combination of these can help the team overcome challenges and achieve its performance goals. This should be supplemented by a team's knowledge of its own strengths composition -- how the team's strengths complement each other, where the team is strong and where it is weak. In this way, the team can maximize its combined strengths and apply them to each goal and challenge in its current situation, propelling team engagement and productivity forward.

Peace, Be Still - Candice Noss

Peace, Be Still - Candice Noss

In today's episode, I, Candace Nas, reflect on the concept of finding peace amidst turmoil and chaos in life. Amidst the struggles and challenges we face, the simple phrase "peace, be still" continues to resonate with me. This phrase serves as a reminder of the refuge we can find in our faith, particularly in Jesus Christ, who is a source of hope, strength, and shelter in difficult times. Facing the diagnosis of a close family member with stage four cancer has prompted me to contemplate mortality and the preciousness of each day we are granted on this earth. It's a reminder to cherish the simple moments and appreciate the gift of life. I encourage listeners to pause, be present, and tap into the peace that comes with being still. As I navigate the process of grief and contemplate the importance of healing relationships, I emphasize the significance of love and connection over accomplishments and to-do lists. The mantra of "peace, be still" continues to guide me in focusing on what truly matters in life. I urge listeners to prioritize their relationship with Christ, emphasizing that His love prevails in all circumstances. Spending time in prayer and meditation can help in finding inner peace and connecting with the divine. It's a reminder that God orchestrates the trials and triumphs in our lives to shape us into better versions of ourselves. In closing, I extend my love and gratitude to all listeners, urging them to embrace the mantra of "peace, be still" and remember that they are designed for greatness. They have discovered some key components to success in shared leadership, including:

•how small things can injure relationships and how to think more proactively to resolve conflict
•the importance of trust gained through shared experiences, and how trust and communication go hand in hand
•the need to relinquish some level of control
