    • Belief in cursed games with spiritual entitiesCursed games may bring harm or even death, have unexpected players, and can be risky but potentially beneficial.

There exists a belief in cursed games, which go beyond typical losses and involve spiritual entities that can bring harm or even death to players. These games, unlike regular ones, may have unexpected players, such as death or ghosts, and can potentially be beneficial but also risky. The discussion also touched upon the inspiration for this episode coming from various sources, including a TikTok user and a blog, and the comfort of recording without video. The hosts expressed their love for games like Risk, despite its time-consuming nature, and wished listeners a happy holiday season.

    • Discovering Unforgettable Experiences through Video GamesVideo games, especially multiplayer and online ones, can create lasting impressions and even life-changing experiences, offering joy, excitement, and meaningful connections.

Playing video games, especially multiplayer and online ones, can lead to unique and memorable experiences. The first time playing with multiple scenarios, such as multiplayer or online games, can leave a lasting impression. For some, these experiences may even be life-changing, albeit in unexpected ways. For instance, the game "Stay Alive" promises benefits like an extra year of life, but the outcome might not be as desirable as one might hope. The speaker also mentions their experience with multiplayer games like GTA 4 and Halo, which brought them joy and excitement. Overall, the discussion highlights the power of video games to create meaningful connections and unforgettable experiences.

    • Exploring the Bath Game 'DorumSum' and Shopping for Creepy ShirtsPlay 'DorumSum' by summoning a ghost in the bath, ask why it fell, get out, and repeat. Shop horror-themed shirts from Loudmouth Threads with a 13% discount using 'bizarre'.

The discussion revolved around three unique games: the bath game "DorumSum," and shopping for creepy shirts from Loudmouth Threads. In the bath game, a player summons a ghost by washing their hair while repeating a phrase and maintaining closed eyes. Upon hearing movement behind them, they must ask why the ghost fell in the bathtub, then get out, shut their eyes, and slowly get into bed without looking. The next day, they drain the tub to continue the game. At Loudmouth Threads, listeners can purchase horror-themed shirts, with a 13% discount using the code "bizarre." The bath game requires patience, a bathtub, and the ability to remain calm when a ghost appears. Meanwhile, Loudmouth Threads offers a wide range of spooky designs for those who enjoy horror aesthetics.

    • Exploring the Power of Fear in Two Unique GamesBoth 'Little Nightmares' and 'The Man in the Fields' utilize immersive storytelling and fear to create memorable gaming experiences. Players must understand controls and mechanics to succeed, and ambiguous endings can leave a lasting impression.

The discussed games, particularly the first one, present challenging gameplay mechanics and intense atmospheres designed to elicit fear and tension. The player's objective is to avoid being touched by a ghost while navigating their environment, creating a sense of vulnerability and urgency. The ending of the game is also left ambiguous, leaving the player with a feeling of uncertainty and unease. The second game, "The Man in the Fields," is based on the ancient tradition of burning wicker men for a good harvest and is said to grant the winner physical and financial protection for a year. The origins of this game are rooted in history, adding an intriguing layer to its concept. Both games demonstrate the power of immersive storytelling and the impact of fear on the gaming experience. The first game uses tension and uncertainty to create a memorable and challenging experience, while the second game draws on historical context to create a unique and intriguing premise. The discussions also highlighted the importance of understanding the controls and mechanics of a game to succeed and the potential for ambiguous endings to leave a lasting impression on players.

    • Summoning a Year of Protection with a Backyard GamePlay a backyard game with a lantern, cross, and specific phrase to receive a year of financial and physical security. Requires dedication and can be dangerous.

The game described is a unique and challenging experience designed to provide financial and physical protection for a year. To play, you need a backyard, a lantern, and a cross. The summoning process involves saying a specific phrase seven times and listening for a response. If successful, the player must then shut everything in their house and keep their eyes closed until 6 AM. The game is dangerous and requires dedication, as looking into the yard or failing to summon properly could result in negative consequences. The ultimate reward is a year of financial and physical security. This game, while not for the faint of heart, offers a fascinating and potentially life-changing experience for those willing to take the risk.

    • The Midnight Game: A Mysterious Ritual for ProtectionStaying up until 6 AM for the Midnight Game may offer protection, but preparing the house and using a paranormal investigation team can enhance the experience.

The "Midnight Game" discussed in the text is a mysterious and potentially scary ritual involving a man in the field who watches as people either fail or succeed at a task. The game requires one to stay up until 6 AM, shutting the door to their room and leaving only when everything is open again. The risk factor seems high, but preparing for the game by not moving one's belongings in a new house might offer some advantage. The man in the field is compared to a referee or a scarecrow, and if one is successful in the game, they may achieve financial, health, and physical protection. The new reality paranormal investigation team is recommended for those interested in the paranormal, as they have unique gifts and equipment to investigate and document supernatural phenomena. The Ohio Hauntings and Legends podcast is also mentioned as a source for haunted and abandoned locations and stories.

    • Ancient Pagan Survival Game: The Midnight ManPlayers engage in The Midnight Man game, an ancient Pagan tradition, to test their wits and outsmart an entity, requiring a needle, wooden door, matches, pen or pencil, paper, and salt. The objective is to survive the night, but origins and consequences are shrouded in mystery.

The Midnight Man game, an ancient Pagan tradition, is a survival game said to be originating from Druidic, Celtic, or Irish cultures. The game, which involves proving oneself against an entity, might be played for the thrill, but it doesn't offer any tangible gain. The players, typically younger individuals, engage in this game to test their wits and outsmart the entity. The game requires a needle, wooden door, matches, pen or pencil, paper, and salt. The player must write their full name on a piece of paper, prick their finger, and put their blood on the paper. The player then turns off all lights, places the paper on a wooden door, lights a candle, and knocks on the door 22 times before midnight. The game's objective is to survive the night, and the player's name is written on the paper to identify them. The game's origins and the consequences of playing it are shrouded in mystery, and the older one gets, the less likely one is to engage in such daredevilish activities due to the awareness of potential consequences.

    • Surviving the Midnight Man: A Game of Focus and Quick ActionFocus, quick action, and adaptability are crucial to survive the Midnight Man game, where the player must keep a candle lit, avoid the entity by moving, and react to sudden changes.

The game discussed, which involves avoiding the entity known as the Midnight Man by keeping a candle lit and moving around a house, requires constant attention and quick action. The player must keep the candle, salt, and matches in hand at all times, and relight the candle if it goes out within 10 seconds. The game is over at 3:33 AM, but the Midnight Man may return, and the player must keep moving to avoid him. The game is won by surviving until the end, with no tangible rewards beyond bragging rights. The shape of the salt circle is important, and it should be elliptical, not circular or oblong. The Midnight Man is signaled by drops in temperature, soft whispers, humanoid shapes, and a candle going out by itself. If the candle goes out and the player does not have salt, they are in trouble. The game is a test of focus, quick action, and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances.

    • Leaderboards and Patreon perksSupporting a podcast through Patreon can grant exclusive rewards and recognition, such as voting on episode topics and having initials on a leaderboard.

The discussion revolved around the concept of a leaderboard or a scoring system, inspired by arcade games, and the perks and exclusivity that come with supporting a podcast through Patreon. The speakers mentioned the satisfaction of having one's initials on a leaderboard and the unique rewards for Patreon supporters, such as voting on episode topics and receiving exclusive items. They also shared their thoughts on cursed games, expressing apprehension towards playing them due to potential harm or embarrassment. Additionally, they shared hypothetical scenarios of using a weapon in public to defend oneself, which could result in unwanted attention and consequences. The speakers found appeal in the last cursed game discussed, as it allowed for some control and exploration, but overall, they were hesitant to engage with cursed games due to the risks involved.

    • Exploring unbelievable or uncertain ideasEngaging with unbelievable or uncertain ideas, even with skepticism, can broaden our perspectives and challenge our assumptions.

Even if we find something hard to believe or uncertain, engaging with it can lead us to a deeper understanding of our beliefs and the world around us. In the discussion, we explored the idea of attempting to open a safe using supernatural means, acknowledging that it might be unbelievable but also recognizing the potential value in giving it a skeptical, yet open-minded approach. This idea was compared to the concept of ritual magic, where the act itself holds significance beyond the literal outcome. While it might seem silly or unrealistic, the process of questioning and investigating can broaden our perspectives and challenge our assumptions.

    • Exploring the Psychological Impact of Cursed GamesPlaying cursed games can evoke fear and anxiety, but also serve as thought exercises and sources of entertainment. The relationship between fear, curiosity, and the human desire to play games is complex.

The discussion revolved around the psychological impact of playing cursed games, which challenge players with terrifying experiences and supernatural elements. The speakers shared their skepticism and reluctance towards such games, acknowledging the potential fear and anxiety they could evoke. Despite their doubts, they also recognized the appeal of these games as thought exercises and sources of entertainment. The speakers also touched upon the idea of risk and reward, and how the stakes in cursed games might not always be high enough to justify the potential danger. Overall, the conversation highlighted the complex relationship between fear, curiosity, and the human desire to play games.

    The Grafton Monster

    The Grafton Monster
    The Grafton Monster
On a fateful night in June 1964, Robert Cockrell's drive home through Grafton, West Virginia, took an unexpected turn when he encountered a massive, headless creature with smooth, rubbery skin.
This bizarre sighting sparked a town-wide frenzy, with armed locals combing the woods in search of what became known as the Grafton Monster.
Multiple witnesses described an 8-10 foot tall entity with broad shoulders and a seemingly non-existent head, lending credence to Cockrell's account and fueling the growing hysteria.
As the monster-hunting craze reached fever pitch, UFO researcher Gray Barker linked the creature to extraterrestrial phenomena, adding another layer of mystery to the tale.
But just as the investigation seemed to gain traction, both Cockrell and Barker abruptly abandoned their pursuits.
The sudden cessation of their inquiries raises unsettling questions: What forces compelled them to drop the subject? Did they uncover truths too disturbing to share, or were they silenced by shadowy figures determined to keep the Grafton Monster's secrets buried?

The Possession of Clara Germana Cele

The Possession of Clara Germana Cele
In 1906, Clara, a 16-year-old orphan at St. Michael Mission in Natal, South Africa, began exhibiting strange behaviors. Initially kind and devout, she started talking to unseen entities, claiming she had made a deal with Satan.
Her behavior escalated to tearing at her clothes, growling, and speaking in languages she had never learned. Clara also demonstrated clairvoyance, revealing private information about the nuns and other students.
Most alarmingly, she was observed levitating up to five feet in the air. As Clara's condition worsened, displaying inhuman strength and violent outbursts, the church decided to perform an exorcism. Rev. Mansueti and Father Erasmus Horner conducted the ritual over two grueling days in front of 170 witnesses.
During the exorcism, Clara exhibited supernatural abilities, including body contortions and snake-like transformations. The demon possessing her claimed to be Satan himself, summoned by Clara's dark purpose. The exorcism concluded with Clara levitating one final time before the demon departed, leaving behind a foul stench.
Although Clara initially recovered and seemed to return to normal, signs of possession resurfaced in 1907. Nuns observed her making strange noises and levitating again. Father Erasmus returned to perform a second exorcism, which lasted 10 days.

    The Bermuda Triangle

    The Bermuda Triangle
The Bermuda Triangle, also known as the Devil's Triangle, is a vast 500,000 square mile area in the Atlantic Ocean bounded by Miami, Bermuda, and Puerto Rico.
This region has been the site of numerous mysterious disappearances of ships and aircraft over the years, leading to its infamous reputation. The area is prone to powerful weather patterns and is home to one of the deepest ocean trenches on Earth.
At least 1,000 people are estimated to have died in the Triangle over the past century. While many paranormal explanations have been proposed, including alien abductions and wormholes, scientists point to natural causes for the Triangle's phenomena.
Strong ocean currents like the Gulf Stream, methane gas bubbles, magnetic anomalies, and severe weather are among the leading scientific explanations. Navigation errors and equipment failures, exacerbated by the area's challenging conditions, likely account for many of the reported incidents.
Some of the most famous disappearances in the Bermuda Triangle include the USS Cyclops in 1918, Flight 19 in 1945, and the pleasure craft Witchcraft in 1967. These cases remain unsolved, with extensive searches failing to locate any trace of the missing vessels or aircraft.
While the Bermuda Triangle continues to captivate the public imagination, many experts argue that the frequency of disappearances in the area is not statistically anomalous given the high volume of traffic through the region.
