    Podcast Summary

    • Reflect on where you are and where you'd like to beSelf-awareness exercise can increase resilience and positivity by reflecting on where you could be and bridging the gap with meaningful goals.

It's important to reflect on where we are in life and where we'd like to be. According to Kate Cochrane from the Volley Network, this self-awareness exercise can help increase resilience and positivity. She suggests asking oneself, "Where could I be?" and then assessing the gap between that imagined place and the present. If the gap is significant and meaningful, it may be worth setting a goal to bridge it. This exercise encourages us to enjoy our dreams while also appreciating the present moment. Remember, the journey towards our goals begins with self-awareness and reflection.

    Appreciating How Far You've Come
It's easy to do. Life just passes you by. I get it, it happens to me regularly. That's why it's important to take time out to review (and appreciate) how far you've travelled. Whether you've realised it or not - you've come along way in the last few years. Make sure you give yourself the credit you deserve.

In true Confidence and Self Esteem style; if you are looking to become more confident or have increased self esteem; you have to get slightly out of your comfort zone and challenge yourself and I'm no different when it comes to this. I'm certainly not prepared to hide behind some carefully edited recording! So as ALWAYS you get the raw - unedited version. Just like with all shows - I need your feedback. Let me know what you want me to talk about what you want to hear. Happy listening

Kim: Living in the Moment, Cherishing the Past

Kim: Living in the Moment, Cherishing the Past

When you get this, you'll know what I'm talking about: Kim, a future best-selling author* in the Philippines, writes to herself days after a holiday romance in Vietnam came to its natural conclusion. In one of the season’s most visual, dream-like letters, Kim immortalizes moped rides in the rain, and all-encompassing joy tinged with sadness. While she knew the relationship had an expiry date, Kim is trying at once to hold onto happy memories and embrace her next solo chapter. For this season finale, Kim opens up to Maria, Sophie, and Steph about living in the moment, her personal goals, and avoiding self-sabotage. The hosts also share their own letters written way back at the start of the season, and reflect on their recent-past selves.

*our prediction, just listen to that filmic letter!

Has this season inspired you to write to yourself? Tell us about it! hello@editaud.io

Episode 78: Falling in Love with Repetition

Episode 78: Falling in Love with Repetition

Last week we talked about the value and importance of creating routines, and today we took that discussion to the next level in talking about having a big, bodacious goal/dream and creating a “Now Goal” that becomes the central focus of your morning routine and throughout your day!

Lisa shared how she has been re-invigorated to write her Now-Goal 50 times a day!  This is not an academic to-do but more of a calming form of meditation which in turn energized her.  Writing her goals 50 times a day has become not a burden but something she looks forward to doing every day.  She has fallen in love with repetition and the idea of expanding her thinking and stretching her faith to believe for things that are far beyond what she has done in the past.  Auto-suggestion is when our conscious brain is suggesting a habit, routine, belief, etc. to our subconscious brain through repetition!

Ladies, don’t settle for mere existence!  The world needs you to rise up and live your life with passion and purpose.  Your potential is limitless!  Don’t wait!  Your time to “wake up” to your passions and desires is now!  And we are here to help you do just that!

Help us spread the word so we can inspire more women to “wake up and dream.”  Give us a “shout out” on your social media platforms!  Thank you!  Drop us a message, LIKE, SHARE, and leave us a review!  Follow us on Instagram @wakeupanddreampodcast and be sure to join us in our new, free, and fabulous Facebook group:  https://www.facebook.com/groups/wakeupanddream/

    It Starts With You

    It Starts With You
People regularly tell me their confidence or self-esteem will increase once they lose weight, get a new job, get a boyfriend or girlfriend, finish school or college, pass their driving test, get fitter or win the lottery. Yet most of those things all involve getting your head right first. In this weeks episode I discuss the importance of taking time out for yourself.

In true Confidence and Self Esteem style; if you are looking to become more confident or have increased self esteem; you have to get slightly out of your comfort zone and challenge yourself and I'm no different when it comes to this.
