    Podcast Summary

    • Letting go of regrets and focusing on the presentEmbrace the present by letting go of past regrets, learn from mistakes, and focus on moving forward.

We should focus on making decisions based on what we want in the present moment, rather than dwelling on potential regrets. As Marilyn Monroe once said, "never regret anything because at the time it was exactly what you wanted." Regret is a natural part of life, and it often comes after the fact. On "letting go day," we are encouraged to give ourselves permission to move past regrets and focus on the present. The past is the past, the future is the future, and today is our day. So, let go of regrets and embrace the present. Remember, we cannot make decisions without taking risks, and sometimes those risks may lead to outcomes we later regret. But, as Kate Cocker reminds us, those decisions were what we wanted at the time. Instead of dwelling on regrets, we should focus on learning from our mistakes and moving forward. So, give yourself permission to let go of regrets and focus on the present. Forgotten OCD, Fox Mulder, & Pizza Hut Tragedy

Forgotten OCD, Fox Mulder, & Pizza Hut Tragedy

We're revisiting Brain Candy episodes 53 & 54 about personality tests, childhood nostalgia, and listener mail. We hear why Sarah knew she had OCD way back in 2016 and then somehow forgot despite having literally even symptom. She retook a personality test and her results now are not the same as in 2016, so we hear how she's changed. We discuss how the "worst case scenario" game she learned on Brain Candy is helpful to her still. Susie is still mourning the death of her childhood mecca, Pizza Hut, and she is demanding to speak with the manager. We debate what makes something "offensive" and whether we should apologize when we offend people.
