    Najib is the head of Safety and Cybersecurity at Cubonic GmbH, a startup based in Cologne, Germany with a mission to create the first integrated eLCV (electric Light Commercial Vehicle) enabling autonomous driving and connected ecosystems.

    For the last 12 years, Najib has shaped his career working for automotive international OEMs and Tier1 suppliers. He started his mission within functional safety prior to the publication of the first safety standard release ISO 26262 in 2011. Eventually, he participated in the automotive industry’s preparation for the adoption of the new upcoming safety standard.

    Throughout his career, he worked on challenging projects and advanced technologies creating safety concepts for cutting edge HW technologies and advanced SW platforms.

    Najib has been actively contributing to the mobility transformation from its first applications of emission reduction solutions, e.g., stop and start, engine management systems, and post-treatment active regeneration for diesel and gasoline engines. Ultimately, accompanying the vehicle electrification from hybridization to full electrification.

    During his career, Najib has always been passionate about actively contributing to shaping safe, secure, sustainable, and accessible mobility. During this path, he actively implemented multiple organizational changes to reach state-of-the-art safety compliance and organization awareness. This all, while working closely with board members and engineering teams. 

    He also took part in the ISO technical committee working group for Automotive Cybersecurity which is responsible for the ISO/SAE 21434 Cybersecurity Engineering standard definition.

    Najib holds a B.A. in Electrical Engineering and an M.A. in Quality and Dependability Engineering from Polytech Engineering School in France.

Previously, Mr. Vezvaei had held the position of Executive President & CEO of Bilfinger SE in the Middle East, where he was in charge of group companies and their operations across the region. Prior to that, he assumed the responsibility as the President of Linde’s Engineering division across the MENA region while serving as a member of the board of its affiliated companies in the region. Prior to joining the Linde Group, Mr. Vezvaei worked for more than a decade at Siemens, where he served as the Global Senior Vice President of Siemens Oil & Gas after he had served as the Division Cluster CEO of the firm’s Oil and gas division in the Middle East. He served previously as Siemens Oil & Gas Division’s Global Vice President for Strategy and Mergers and acquisitions and has assumed several other senior management positions during his tenure with Siemens.     John Correia has over 30 years of experience leading technical development across a number of cutting-edge automotive technologies – most notably infotainment, telematics, and other forms of connectivity. John is currently working with Connected Strategy Advisors as Managing Technical Director. He is focused on helping a variety of companies more fully exploit the rich data and analytics that connected devices and machines of all varieties can provide. 

    Previously, John held a number of leadership positions within the connectivity and infotainment areas GM/OnStar and Ford exposing him to a diverse variety of connected technologies, business models, and lessons learned.

    At Ford, John was an advisor for several years and then joined Ford as Chief Engineer of the Advanced Product Engineering team within Ford’s Enterprise Connectivity group, transitioning to Director of Product Management for many of their Digital Connected Platforms. During this time, John was involved in V2X, ADAS, OTA, Autonomous, and SW Defined Vehicle initiatives.

    During John’s 15 years at GM/OnStar, he was Director of their advanced development, innovation lab, OTA activities, and all of their mobile and embedded infotainment applications. Before that, he led the technical development for several generations of OnStar systems and managed the team of experts focused on strategic technologies such as Wireless/RF, Positioning, Voice Recognition, Security, Consumer Device Connectivity (BT, WiFi, NFC), Satellite Radio, and Vehicle Interface. During this time, he was instrumental in leading GM’s early efforts to exploit vehicle data to provide more engaging customer relationships, improve product quality, and enhance overall customer satisfaction. His achievements include over 17 patents, 2 Boss Kettering Innovation awards, and several chairman and CEO-level recognition awards. 

    Prior to GM, John worked for Ford and Visteon, designing and packaging audio and cellular systems. In addition to managing some of the Ford/Lincoln RESCU activities, he helped establish many of the early cellular and satellite systems. John is an Electrical and Computer Engineering graduate from the University of Michigan and has an MBA from the University of Michigan Ross School of Business.

    Matt Harden, AVP Business Development, is responsible for AT&T Connected Solution’s Connected Car team. His team is responsible for managing each of AT&T’s OEM relationships from RFx, to contracting, to deploying, and supporting after launch. Matt joined AT&T as part of the Leadership Development Program in 2008. Since then, Matt has held positions in Network Operations, New Product Deployment, Business Solutions, and IoT Product Development. Matt serves on the board of two different 501c3 organizations, Hackin’ for Harden and the Navy Football Brotherhood, and also supports the US Naval Academy’s admission office as a Blue and Gold Officer representative in Georgia. Matt holds an MBA from the University of Georgia and a Bachelor of Science degree from The United States Naval Academy. Following graduation from the Naval Academy, he served 9 years on active duty and continues to serve in the reserves with multiple deployments in support of Operations Iraqi Freedom, Enduring Freedom – Afghanistan, and Enduring Freedom – Philippines. Matt and Andreea have been married for 18 years and have 4 daughters.
