WE'RE BACK!!! And longer than ever! Did you miss us? Of course you did. And we missed you too. This week, we are returning from our unplanned haitus with the newest and most highly anticipated Disney release of the year. In this episode, we learn some animal facts, we discuss the societal issues, and we flex and sprain our long resting podcast muscles. We are excited to be back with this one, and we cannot wait to hear your thoughts.

We know we promised Stepsister From Planet Weird, but hopefully you can forgive us for this deviation, because we got to sit down and talk with the director of the ENTIRE Z-O-M-B-I-E-S  franchise!

After a DM to our Disney Deviants Instagram, we saw that Paul had not only listen to our last episode, but that he had was totally game from coming on the podcast to discuss all of the questions, comments, and concerns we had about the final (?) movie in the franchise. And our chaotic selves of course said yes!

This week we watched the finale of the Disney Channel Original Series Z-O-M-B-I-E-S. This iteration of Disney's new "classic" takes on Aliens, and boooooyyyy, do we have questions.
1) How does one REALLY apply for college?
2) If you replace a whole teenage girl with a pile of junk metal and a screen, and no one is there see it, will it go unnoticed?
3) Who has been led to believe that Zombies, werewolves, and Aliens are real based on this Movie?
4) Is the love story between shrimpy the mascot, and eel, potentially the most important love story in the franchise?
5) How does. Addison's mom keep that wig so laid?

Yes, we are finally back to regularly scheduled programming (give or take a couple of hours) and coming at you with the first DCOM of the year. We have finally reached DCO(BOATS)M. And the we don't mean the kind of boat that helps you float (although our hearts may have taken flight.

This week we watched Miracle in Lane 2 which is based on the true story of Justin Yoder, the first child with a disability to race in and win the National Soap Box derby!
This is one for the books so join us as we laugh, cry, and analyze our way through this classic!

We close out our holiday deviations with an oldie (kinda) but a goodie! We watched The Santa Clauses starring Tim Allen on Disney+. Tune in to find out what we think!

Taiwo and Adaeze are back at it again with a familiar face.

That's right, we watched Hallmark's FIRST EVER gay Christmas movie, The Holiday Sitter starring Jonathan Bennett! And ALLEGEDLY the reason for Candace Cameron Bure leaving her Hallmark home for a certain network that shall NEVER be named.

Taiwo and Adaeze continue their Christmas deviations with a fan request from Esther Sandoval, A Christmas Kiss 2! Or is it Another Christmas Kiss? Clearly the producers didn't know, and neither do we!

We couldn't bring you the second movie in what is clearly the ACKU (A Christmas Kiss Universe) without catching all of you up on the first movie, so we make sure to give you a run down on that too. 4. Is Disney extolling the virtues of Latch Key Childhoods?

It's a cat eat cat world in the competitive world of Middle School (High School?) basketball...I mean bowling.  West Appleton has just won the face off against East Appleton tying up the years long bid competition for the mighty Apple. And now, the deciding contest must take place in a bowling alley. While watching this semi forgotten Disney Channel Original Movie, Adaeze and Taiwo find themselves faced with these nail biting questions:

1. When did bowling fall out of favor with the general American public?
2. Did this movie restore bowling's relevance in the zeitgeist?
3. How little can you consider the feelings of your friends, while maintaining best friendship?
4. What IS the Alley Cat Strike?

To all these questions, a simple answer must suffice..."Wouldn't you like to know"?

Textual Deviants is back and better (read: rustier) than ever!

In our much anticipated return to our textual roots, we tackle a listener suggestion, The Blood Trials by N. E. Davenport and from us to y'all, Mrs. Davenport might have just ate! Don't let the stunning cover or description fool. This is no YA novel, more like Adults ONLY! 

We follow Ikenna, our protagonist, (and fellow vaguely Naija gyal!) as she tries her best to figure out who killed her grandfather in the novel with a sci-fi/fantasy landscape. To make matters worse, the only way she will be able to figure it out is to pledge to participate in the Praetorian soldier (blood) trials, in order to get closer to the people she believes ordered the hit. Even worse? She has to manage to hide her blood gifts all while desperately trying to remain alive herself.
