How do Spirituality and entrepreneurship come together with Raquel Vasallo.

How do Spirituality and entrepreneurship come together with Raquel Vasallo.

Heard the saying - things happen for a reason? Or you should listen to your gut? Or even what is your gut telling you? Well this is the chat that you are going to want to tune into!

I had the great honour of chatting this week to Raquel Vasallo who is a spiritual advisor to female visionaries and leaders. She is an International Speaker, Mystic Artist and Feminine Leadership trendsetter.  Plus she has also written a book called Spiritual Seductress.

In 2008, Raquel was living the dream life working as an Architect for a star firm and had a near death experience - she was unfortunately run over by a car and survived. Following this she had a major spiritual awakening.  That was the calling that Raquel needed to change up her life.

Raquel works with women and they are usually at a point that they have reached a point in their life where they have had a lot of success but still feel like something is missing in their life and she works with women to discover what this is.

We talk about feeling frustrated by the patriachal society that we live within and wanting to have a bigger voice and how to step into your power more. We talked about what spirituality means to her and how women have turned down their natural instincts. We talk about how to tune into our energy for the benefit of business and exercising and trusting your intuition.

Plus we even touch on universal law and abundance.

This is a super super interesting chat and I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did!

    To work with Raquel.

Making Change, Money and Entrepreneurship at any age with Maddie Brown.

This week on the Lady Leadership podcast I caught up with Maddie Brown.  Maddie is an accountant with more than 30 years working with small businesses and entrepreneurs - I thought that we were going to be talking mainly Money but this interview was so much more.

Maddie left her secure but underwhelming job at the age of 50 and bought a small accountancy firm . In Maddie's words she was very unhappy in her job and had become complacent and used to the that unhappiness. It was the best thing that she has ever done and absolutely loves her business and the people that she helps and works with.

As such we talked change and entrepreneurship and moving in the direction of your dreams and that you can make money in thousands of ways.

Over the years, Maddie has worked with thousands of clients (most of them being amazing women), and has helped them get their finances in order and get them past the fear of being judged on their bookkeeping.

If you are looking for some motivation and inspiration then have a listen.

Are you a Bad boss or do you know one with Michelle Gibbings.

Are you a Bad boss or do you know one with Michelle Gibbings.

This week on the Lady Leadership podcast I caught up  with workplace specialist and author Michelle Gibbings to talk Bad bosses!

At one time or another we've all had a bad boss – whether it’s through bullying and intimidation, unfair feedback or unrealistic workloads. Their behaviour sets the tone for what's acceptable at work and can cause major issues for productivity, staff turnover and wellbeing, especially in turbulent times we’re experiencing. In a tough or toxic work environment, how can we find harmony with those we work with?

In the new book, Bad Boss: What to do if you work for one, manage one or are one , workplace expert Michelle Gibbings draws upon decades of experience in corporate leadership to provide a practical transformation guide. She covers all three perspectives: the direct report, the boss and the boss's boss, helping readers quickly identify where the issue lies, along with actionable steps to turn things around if you finding yourself working for a bad boss.

Michelle says that bad bosses aren’t always bad people, and it takes work at every level to create an environment where everyone can flourish. If you dare to examine your own role in your current situation and take swift action, you’ll gain better relationships and greater career satisfaction.

Bad Boss is an essential read for anyone in (or wanting to avoid) a toxic work environment, filled with practical advice and actional steps to turn things around for any organisation.

Not only did we discuss Bad bosses and what to do and not what to do but we also discussed finding Joy and happiness plus spending more time in nature and doing the things that you love.

How is your connection with yourself and your team with Vicki Macdermid.

How is your connection with yourself and your team with Vicki Macdermid.

This week on the Lady Leadership podcast I sat down with Vicki Macdermid from Equilead to to talk leadership and connection through the insights of horses. As an avid horse lover and horse rider this was a chat that I was really looking forward to.

After spending about 30 years working in a corporate career in many leadership roles and being a partner of a large business called Pitch Partners plus a TedX speaker.  Vicki has launched her new business combining her love of horses and leadership.

After attending a number of courses on leadership herself over the years, Vicki had the insight that learning comes from doing and participating not sitting in a classroom.  Plus after spending time with horses she saw that the best outcomes for horse and human come from connection.  When their is real connection in what we are trying to achieve together.

As such, Vicki runs courses that involve teams working on the ground with a horse to achieve an outcome . As Vicki says the horse does not care is you are the Managing Director! Vicki is their to help facilitate the interaction and provide insight and through the horses reactions give feedback as to what the horse is saying with its behaviour.

I think you are going to find this chat very insightful.

How should you negotiate your salary?

How should you negotiate your salary?

In this episode of Lady Leadership I share my top tips for negotiating your salary.

Negotiating salaries can be difficult, you don't want to pitch yourself too low and you don't want to pitch yourself too high!

My golden rule is not to disclose what you want first but rather ask what is the job paying?
Any company that advertisers a job is going to have a range that they want to pay for a role.
They have to budget for it in their financials!

Check out how i recommend that you answer the dreaded question? What is your current salary?
And what I think you should ask when asked this question!

You are going to love it!

Do you need to shift your Career forward? Why should you get a coach?

In this weeks episode of the Lady leadership I am talking about why you should have a coach!

I have recently been working with a horse riding coach myself and have realised why more than ever if you want to move forward in any area of life you should find and work with a coach. My horse riding coach has helped me immensely. I share my 5 top reasons why you should have a coach.

How can you tell you a good work story? Learn all the tricks with Gabrielle Dolan.

How can you tell you a good work story? Learn all the tricks with Gabrielle Dolan.

This week on the Lady Leadership podcast I catch up with Gabrielle Dolan who is a speaker, an author but more importantly an expert in Storytelling.

Gabrielle had a very successful corporate career working in Leadership and Change Management when she accidentally became a storyteller. As someone who worked for a big bank she noticed that the really good presenters shared stories. As someone who had always told a good story this resonated with her and she wanted to develop the idea that story telling could be a better way to communicate.

She decided that she wanted to create her own business and create a process and a methodology to tell stories.

We talk about what makes a good story and how to tell it, we discuss how Gabrielle run's her business through the mantra of Think, Sell and Deliver and we even dive into writing books.

I think you are really going to enjoy this podcast!

Gabrielle's final public virtual workshops for 2020. You can find out more about the content and how to purchase your ticket at the links below. Our promise to you is that the virtual programs will resemble the face to face experience as much as possible - interactive, engaging, live... just online.
