We're back baby!  It's been a while and we know you've all been missing the show, but we have been a little busy.  Slow Pitch HQ moved from Montana to Kansas we've added to the descendants who will reap the whirlwind of an inheritance from us.  In other words Sean had a baby.  Congrats Sean!  Anyway, Sean and Brad review another Out of Bounds movie. This time it's ¡Three Amigos!  Instead of going into a long discussion about the importance of the plight of the 1930s Mexican peasant or the big studio strangle-hold on actors in the early days of Hollywood, Sean and Brad basically recount all of the jokes in the movie. Or is it recant?  Do you want to take a walk and kiss us on the veranda?

Sean and Brad watch Against the Ropes so you don't have to.  We talk about bad accents, bad photoshop, and the fact that the Pluto app we watched this on made the movie 30 minutes longer because of all the commercials.  On too of that the movie was about 30 minutes too long.  Oh, and there's a fart scene, which of course we hone in on.

Sean and Brad review the 1961 classic The Absent-Minded Professor.   They talk about what flubber sounds like, what Brad's dunks, when he could dunk, looked like (hint: it looked like a white guy from 1961), and about 25 different parts of the basketball scene.  Is this one of the best basketball scenes in cinema?  We think it might be.

Sean and Brad review the 1957 classic Fear Strikes Out.  They discuss the awkwardness of a 55 year old Karl Malden carrying a 24 year old Anthony Perkins, an skin condition pharmaceutical ad that played over and over while watching the movie, and the various jobs Sean had as a college student.  We also applaud the way the movie and the actual, real-life team of the 50's Boston Red Sox handled the subject of mental disorders.  And then we lament the next episode...

Our first Elvis movie and we get into what we thought about his nipples right away!  We watch Kid Galahad, the remake, and realize right away it's not up to the same caliber than the original, but did we like it better?  Maybe...  

Besides Elvis's nipples, we also talk about Charles Bronson's unexplained limp,  the music in the film, and a bevy of strange lines.  Let's all go to Cream Valley, NY (gross) and duke it out!

Sean and Brad don't know anything about hockey.  They know nothing.  Icing.  What is it?  They try to discuss a movie about hockey without talking about hockey at all.  But at least Seann William Scott is charming and funny.  But do us a favor and don't watch this movie with your parents or small children.  But the movie has its moments.  Blades of Steel.  And wayne Gretzky.  And Gordie Howe.  That's all they know.  Also, don't get confused between Sean Williams and Seann WilliamssssScott.

Sean and Brad review one of the best and well-known sports movies ever.  Martin Scorcese, Robert DeNiro and Joe Pesci team up to make Raging Bull, a movie about Jake LaMotta, a boxer who made it all the way to the top just to lose it all just as quickly.  If you think this movie, which is really heavy, didn't talk about He-Man's lesser known ally Ram-Man, or character actor Wallace Shawn's haircut, you haven't been listening.  Bring me my steak!

The 1970s were a heck of a time.  We go from North Dallas Forty and Nick Nolte to The Longest Yard and Burt Reynolds.  We ask if Paul "Wrecking" Crewe" is a sympathetic character after the cringey first scene.  We also discuss Teen Wolf's dad's hair, Bernadette Peters as "Miss Toot" and we're slightly confused about a new review a fan has given us.  Speaking of, if you haven't rated and reviewed us yet, please do.  It really helps.

In celebration of the release of Top Gun: Maverick, Sean and Brad record  the first Timeout episode.  This is a movie that isn't specifically a sports movie but has a sports scene in it.  And what better movie to start with than Top Gun.  The volleyball scene in this movie is consistently ranked at the top of non-sports movie sports scenes.  The guys talk about how Anthony Edwards makes sure he is fully clothed next to ?val Kilmer and Tom Cruise shirtless, rippling, sweaty chests.  And Maverick and Charlie getting it on with a bunch of sand pouring out of Maverick's jeans.  That would have been awkward. And did Brad cry during the love scene?
